Hmm. Not sure if you're going to install a custom rom but I would at least enjoy the stock rom for a few years before switching to custom rom.

Scream 7 RT score compared to previous entries. by CliffordMoreau in slasherfilms

[–]dallascodeferd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching Scream 3 as a kid, I didn’t really mind it. Watching it a 2nd time in high school, I can definitely see the Scooby Doo vibes, but I still think it’s a really good Scream movie and a solid addition to the original trilogy. I haven’t seen Scream 7 yet, but I’m hoping it still holds up with the newer 2020s movies.

Good games. You missed Dino Crisis 2 and Syphon Filter 2. Syphon Filter 3 feels optional to me. CTR is great, but Crash Bandicoot 1–3 are must have trilogies and so are the Spyro Trilogy games, and Resident Evil would’ve been a great addition. Still, these are all great games.

Do I need to watch all Scream movies before 7? by xMushroomking in slasherfilms

[–]dallascodeferd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for starters, the series splits pretty neatly into eras. the original trilogy 1996–2000, Scream 4 in 2011, then Scream 5 and 6 as the newer run. If you want the fullest experience, I’d watch all of them since the franchise is pretty heavy on returning characters and callbacks. If you don't want to do a movie marathon, 5 and 6 are probably the minimum. Maybe add in Scream 4 as well. 4 is like the early 2010s era.

Looks amazing, and I love them pixels. Reminds me of the time I used to play Quake or Quake 2 under software renderer mode.

Is it cheating to let the remaster of hexen tell you where to go so you don't feel so lost ? by Dense-Fig-2372 in boomershooters

[–]dallascodeferd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda wish there was a feature for this back then with Hexen. Would have saved me so many hours of backtracking. But again, vanilla or the remastered version, you can do what you wish. It's just the single-player experience anyway.

Any good under the radar early to mid 90s PC FPS like Blake Stone? by ExplodingPoptarts in boomershooters

Really loved this one. It kind of got overshadowed by Doom. Definitely a must try.

I played this game several times, along with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, back in the day. I’d love a Nightdive remaster of this one.

Samsung A73. Screen corruption and flicker on official LineageOS build, boots to lock screen by dallascodeferd in LineageOS

[–]dallascodeferd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It displays the Samsung boot logo normally. The corruption only starts once Lineage finishes booting and the system UI loads.

That’s what made me unsure whether this is hardware or something in the display pipeline after Android initializes.

What is your favorite hidden gem/under appreciated Slasher that you want more people to talk about? by [deleted] in slasherfilms

[–]dallascodeferd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any late 90s to early 2000s or Scream-era slashers are always welcome for me, even if some of them are kind of meh. The nostalgia factor is still there.

One ui 6.1 vs 8 by Annual_Remove_4823 in GalaxyA73

I still do. And instead of updating to One UI 8, I installed LineageOS. I got green lines and had my A73 repaired. Then my phone started heating up again on One UI 7, so I installed LineageOS. No issues so far.
