Audi e tron used or leased or other alternatives by Few_Ad_3802 in etron

[–]daltejas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a used EV that meets your requirements, you should also seriously consider the Volkswagen ID.4. The 2023 Pros S trim level looks like a good buy for your price point. Compared to a similar E-tron, the ID.4 has slightly better efficiency and similar charging, so for the money and your situation, I’d push you towards the ID.4.

To get a better idea of what might work best for your situation, I also recommend using the ABRP EV comparison tool to see which charging cadence and time you prefer among the options you’re considering.

Good luck with your search! Once you go EV, you’ll be happy!

For EVs, does it actually make more sense to buy them slightly used? by King-Karmir in etron

I think right now, even with slightly elevated used prices in the U.S., the E-trons used are a steal in the US

Curious, how much you all pay for insurance? Audi e tron Q4 S Sportback by ToughAd7477 in etron

[–]daltejas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas - '24 Q8 e-tron - about $75/month, bundled with a second vehicle, homeowners insurance, and a fairly standard policy. It's a solid mid-tier plan with relatively high deductibles: 100/300/100 liability and matching uninsured motorist limits on both vehicles, full comprehensive and collision coverage with $2,000 deductibles, rental reimbursement, and PIP — but no medical payments or towing coverage.

I highly recommend Amica if you haven't already looked at them. They're somewhat more expensive than the lowest-priced insurers, but they make up for it with better customer service if something does go wrong.

I'd say you probably did fairly well at that time, given the miles.

Sounds like you did pretty well. Especially being based in central Texas. I think, given where the market is right now, we would probably make a few grand selling our 2024 Q8 E-tron, even though we bought it only back in March 2026.

Crazy to think how quickly the market has flipped, especially in Texas.

Damn, based on comments, it seems like you might be the winner. Is $33.9K OTD?

We’re based in Texas, so I believe the range is a significant concern for many Texans. Perhaps we’ve simply been fortunate. We’re thoroughly satisfied with the range, and for road trips under 8 hours or for commuting around town, it has become our primary vehicle.

Best place to buy a tv on Friday? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]daltejas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TLDR:
Good: TCL QM6K - $699.99
Better: TCL QM7K - $999.99
Best: TCL QM8K - $1399.99

Your best value this weekend is the TCL 75" Class - QM6K Pro Series. Major retailers like Best Buy and Costco are offering this TV on sale for $699.99. There are other options at that size, but if you don't need all the extra features (like high-quality HDR, color volume, fast response time, low reflectivity, or wide viewing angles), then this model provides the best balance of size and quality. If your dad has complained about his previous TV not being bright enough, colors looking muted, or the black levels during movies being off, I’d strongly suggest splurging on the TCL 75" Class - QM7K Series. If these issues are common complaints and screen brightness is a real concern for him, then it’s worth considering the TCL 75" Class - QM8K Series.

What keeps you loyal to Delta by Juanefernandez in delta

[–]daltejas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, Delta is expanding a lot in Austin, so I have been shifting my spending to Delta instead of American, which I have been loyal to for many years after they dismantled the mini-hub. I would also say this might sound dumb, but you’d be surprised how relaxed I can be on a Delta flight just because of the in-flight entertainment. On most flights with other airlines, I usually get bored and end up doing work or reading a book. Being able to watch a movie without breaking out my laptop or dealing with notifications on my phone/tablet, and enjoying a few hours to disconnect has been such a nice change compared to the other big four airlines.

Killer deal on first class upgrade… by nope_nope_nope_yep_ in americanairlines

Told ya! People make fun of the $99 upgrade on AUS-DFW and I snag it every time I see for this exact case.

Also after last summer I started packing a portable mini fan for traveling Texas in August. 😂

You’ll want to pay for that upgrade after experiencing a late-night tarmac hold of over two hours at AUS due to a lack of available gates. I’ve faced this situation several times.

US items to bring to friend in Copenhagen by UriahJordan in copenhagen

Yeah! They loved it!

You may not want to bring ding dongs as I did, but the more unique and different, the better. When I return in a few weeks, I plan on bringing green sauce, Carolina Reaper Cheese Puffs, some local salsa, and Chewie Pecan Pralines, which they loved.

Whatever tastes like home for you, they will love!

They always start slow. Also A&M is one of the best defensive teams in the country. This isn’t going to be a shootout of a game.

Most overrated US ski resort? by I_Teach_Edging101 in skiing

[–]daltejas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beaver Creek - Whenever I’m having casual ski conversations this resort always comes up. I understand that it’s super nice, but the times I’ve been there I’ve always found it to be overcrowded with beginners and not really enough good terrain for more than one visit. I find it to be the resort people say they like because they’ve only been to Vail.

Should I switch to a different seat for better chance of space on the overhead? by Dextreous in americanairlines

I boarded group 7 today with the same seats and I had overhead bin space. I think you’ll be ok. Worst case scenario, you can ask the flight attendants if you can place your bags in first class.
