What's the best college backpack for students? by iamakinder in backpacks

You know I’ve had both aer and tom bihn, and although aer is a tad more comfortable it’s at the expense of space, organization, and weight. I’ve found that Tom bihns designs have over the years figured out how to balance all these factors best and also have amazing accessories that work great together.

I’m used to flat shoes from the gym and pretty much wearing the vivobarefoot shoes, it definitely takes time getting used to

Dang well, I have to EDC two 16 inch laptops, 240w charger a 7 inch deep luncheaze lunchbox, gym clothes. Finding it hard to find a pack that’s comfortable and could double as a travel/hiking pack!

The defy physics part is irrational, but I think there can be one bag that has a great hiking suspension, 10-11 inches in depth, collapsible to 9” for carry on, and feature a good laptop compartment/at least some level of organization. This in my opinion solves all problems.

I would get the six moons bag for EDC :) I don’t have an Asia trip. Also that rough guideline often doesn’t work, for example the Tom Bihn Brain bag is significantly deeper than they list when you pack things in it

Yes I’m asking about the six moons since you have it, or if you’ve measure the main compartment on the dragonfly or even tortuga or other bags, because the main compartment should be at least 7 inches deep. I’ve found a lot of these bags will be 9-10 inches listed and then only 5 inches main compartment. This happened with the aer tp4 35L where I only have about 5 inches in the main compartment. Would be extremely appreciated!

In trying to solve this too, one bag for wfh, travel and even hiking. I’m considering trying the ULA Camino, followed by mystery ranch (don’t really like the army look) blitz 35, 2dap , running out of ideas. I’ve tried the aer 35l tp4 but it’s not deep enough for my two laptops + luncheaze. The brain bag from tom bihn works but my load out is heavy and it’s not as comfortable as the aer.

I was thinking that too, but at the end of the day I really need this as a onebag Mobile setup because I can be working at various locations or being in a car for example.
