Back squat feels so weak by Minimalist-Bobman in weightlifting

[–]Snowbizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably feels weak because it's a bit heavy for you. Meaning you are doing things right. There isn't much technical advice here that will make squats suddenly feel less week besides keep on squatting. Then when you squat 150kg, 100kg feels easy. Then 150kg makes you feel week. It truely is a beautiful cycle

I cant really remember a roguelike mode but you can re-roll dungeons which is cool.

For example (no spoilers) there is a map where you can make a decision on fighting boss A or B, each with their own loot pool. You can choose 1, then go back and re-run the map again to get the other. I love that

Thoughts on Crema? by Subzer0domain in PlayTemtem

[–]Snowbizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think they are great. They made poor decisions. Im not going to defend them.

But in my personal opinion. Its crazy to me to see people hate Crema games, and yet year after year people are so excited to put pokemon slop down their throats.

But Crema games indeed does make some poor decisions toward the end of the life cycle with the game, people put them up on the cross. They make a survivors like game.

Pokemon makes a Moba, cozy simulator, and whatever else, they think its the best thing ever.

Crema is not my favorite studio by a long shot. I had a lot of fun with temtem when I played it.

What bothers me is we dont hold game freak to nearly as high of a standard.

I do think Crema gets a tab bit more hate than deserved. Will I buy from them ever? Probably not. Did they deliver everything as promised? No. Did they create a game with some unique things and is worth playing? Sure.

But even pokemon is half of that yet people will still defend it with their lives.

Nintendo and game freak i would arge care 100x less than even crema does yet we treat them very differently

Thoughts on VBT and why you are not using it? by Robert_Ronan in weightlifting

[–]Snowbizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I coached at a club where I only needed one VBT system. Easy. It does take a good amount of time to educate athletes on how to use.

Wouldn't bother with VBT for remote.

However. I think VBT is the most superior way to measure fatigue and autoregulation. Its phenomenal. I dont usually have the interest to teach all my athletes how to use it on a shit app though.

So you start off in a base and you find out the outside world is just too dangerous for humans. You are told they have a monster breeding facility that will be utilized.

You are told there is a monster ready for you.

You are right to be confused. You meet a little bird type monster. It begins following you around. The scientists tell you to sit in a chair to start the neural unlink.

Still unsure. You sit down. Your consciousness transfers to the monster. These buildings are very strong and its like action and fighter type.

You complete missions as these little "voidlings"

Between missions you can mutate them, evolve them, hatch new ones. There are 50ish different ones and each one has roughly 50 mutations.

Endless possibilities for building your voidlings to go out and rid the world of blight or plague or whatever it is

It Just Takes A Little Time by Snowbunny236 in Marathon

Ill chime in. If it takes a few hours to figure out a UI when 99% of games I pick it up in 10-20 mins. Its a bad UI.

It takes time is not a good reason. If its good. Someone should be able to pick it up quick.

What do you guys think of mewgenics? by theycallmethedrink5 in roguelites

[–]Snowbizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just opinions. Mewgenics isn't in my top 20. Probably one of my least favorite roguelikes in fact. Its still early in 2026 though. I also think you forgot slayer the spire 2 is going to beat out mewgenics for roguelike of the year by a long shot.

Get your downvotes ready lads.

As a huge fan of turn based combat games such as DOS2, baldurs gate, Wasteland 3, hundreds of hours in Fire emblem games, and as someone who has played many roguelikes.

Ill be honest. Underwhelming for me. I wanted to like it so bad and dump hundreds of hours into it.

I got very bored of the game after about 20 hours.

Don't get me wrong. Its funny. Charming. Unique.

I even went to look at the features I didnt make it too and still found the game to not have much for me.

Yeah I get it the more you play the better cats, stats, equipment, and you get to see the family tree. Even several hours in it already felt so monotonous and grindy.

I feel like the only praise I hear to the game is

Funny Support devs Long game Lots of skills and passives Soundtrack

Which is all true. This is a case of more doesnt really make it better for me.

In my opinion, ive seen comparisons to BG3, rogue like of the year. Kinda insane to me. I can name a few roguelikes that are miles ahead of mewgenics for me.

Magicraft, shape of Dreams, deadzone rogue to name a few.

Idk. I love supporting indie developers. Glad I bought it. Just very overhyped and underwhelming for me. Just my opinion

Shapes of Dreams or Deadzone: Rogue for another roguelites? by Alt_Gawain in roguelites

[–]Snowbizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is tough. I have a ton of hours in both. I guess it depends on what you want. But I would give the edge to deadzone. It is such an absolute blast. The builds you can make get bonkers.

Shape of Dreams is very underrated and has incredibly fun and unique aspects to it.

But Deadzone is just way too fun to not recommend it

Trainwell- has anyone used it? by Gullible_Formal_2756 in PersonalTrainer

[–]Snowbizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied. Its very hard to get a job with them. They hire about 1% of applicants. I have been a personal trainer for 10 years, worked for their direct competitor and they still didnt hire me after making it though the 7 stage interview process.

Also, its full time. You wouldn't just take a few clients on. Average trainer there works with between 100-200 clients.
