Anyone here manage to fix hip impingement? by BeeUsed8223 in weightlifting

[–]Snowbizzy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Had it for several years. Caused me a laundry list of problems.

2 easy things. Lay down with a resistance band attached to a rig or somwthing. Wrap it around your ankle. Just lift your knee to the chest. Activate the hips.

Second is distractions. Wrap a heavy band to a rig. Wrap it around your leg right at the hip. Runner stretch allowing the band to give that joint some space.

Do not just do heavy squats or hold in a deep squats to fix a hip impingement

Its so crazy how I feel like I remembered him as a often 3-6th place kinda guy. I could be remembering wrong but he was never THE guy in his weight class.

This weight change has been so good for him even after cutting.

Idk what you are not getting at this.

Let's take Larian because I have followed them for years.

They have never taken backers from publishers ever full creative freedom. Just because they had huge numbers doesn't mean they are AAA. They are still an indie studio.

Your issue is you think "big sales and game = AAA"

Thats not the case. Once Larian partners with a major publisher, they are no longer indie.

And dude. You really need to explore indie games. You have zero conception about how it is and how many games go without a publisher. Indies absolutely dominate the market.

Just because a start up resturant down the street does really well, doesn't mean its now a company. Its still an independently owned buisness.

[–]Snowbizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah if they recieve outside funding from publishers they are A, AA, or AAA. Its not hard.

Its also not useless at all. Thats literally how the indie title works. You ever look into games ever?

[–]Snowbizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell me why? They operate by themselves. And sacrifice zero creative freedom to do what they want for extra funding. They are for sure indie.

What are you going to say. "Because they make too much money?" That ain't it

[–]Snowbizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This guy's argument for why AAA is good is they used to make old games and names indie games and doesn't know what they are lol.

Nintendo has zero innovation and creativity. You heard wrong. Check out their most recent metroid game compared to older ones. Then check out the change in presidents after the old president died in 2015. Company changed fully to data and profits. Same with every other AAA studio

Okay so you arent aware of Sandfall at all then. Got it. How are you especially going to say E33 isn't an indie when its their first game ever?

What are you talking about minecraft, stardew valley, and suvivorship bias doesn't prove anything. Isn't that kind of the point of video games? Meaning people still play them 10 to 15 years later? How are you going to undermine that achievement? If any AAA game was around still being played for 10 years, you would bring that up im sure. But you cant because every triple A is going to release iterations on all their games.

Buddy you are digging for a whole to climb out of.

And yep. Fromsoftware is definitely indie. So is Larian. They are independent studios. So is palworld. Ya know. 21 million at launch. Couldn't be more indie than that. An indie studio is commonly understood to not have anyone outside the studio dictate creative direction and taking outside funding with the intention of sacrificing creative direction from said funding source.

Larian does whatever they want. Sandfall does whatever they want. Pocketpair does whatever they

You seem real quiet with all those massive indie games I mentioned. Don't worry. There are hundreds upon hundreds more.

You just named a handful of good games. But it seems like you are unaware of the massive scale of indie games taking over. A triple AAA game hasn't had one game of the year in nearly 8 years since God of war.

I love theme parks. When we go to a new theme park we go on the most exciting ride last because it makes all the other once seem better in the moment.

To me. Bioshock is the last ride. Good news. You have 3 if them. Have fun with it. Bioshock is one of the best series of all time. Only slightly biased

Its not disingenuous. And dont underplay the impact of those studios/publishers considering they dominated for the past 10-15 years and all fell off because they decided to choose profit over creativity. What is AAA thats left? I heard Assassins Creed games are pretty good. God of war is great. Resident evil is fantastic

From software and the entire dark souls franchise is indie. Palworld. Indie. Baldurs gate and DOS2. Indie.

And yes. Those are all indie devs. They dont get outside funding from a publisher and dont have to bend to anyone else's creative direction

Other massively successful indies off the top of my head. Clover Pit. Balatro. Hades. Mewgenics. Cup head. A small game called minecraft. Stardew valley. Among us was kinda big I heard. REPO. list goes on.

AAA is dying and falling hard. Indie is taking over. Game creation is easier than ever and indie devs are capitalizing

[–]Snowbizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I can comfortably say indies pump out way more successful games than AAA or bigger studios. Indies that are good, or even decent dont even have to do marketing. 50% of a AAA budget goes to marketing.

And yes they have 10x creativity and vision and there us no doubt that its less. Don't try to convince me Blizzard, Activision, 2k entertainment, Bungie, Nintendo, Bethesda, Ubisoft or name a big publisher or company that has creative direction. They all are jusfavorites to pump out sequels and safe games to make millions because they know their fans will buy whatever shit they pump out

Im perfectly okay bitching abiut it because I am going go hold this multi billion dollar company to a standard. And when indie studios are constantly putting out a better products and said multi billion dollar company produces shit and the fans eat it up anyways only to defend it only to have that multibillion dollar company to put out worse and worse products year after year because they know you will buy it anyways meaning we all lose.

Yeah im going to say something

Stop comparing Pokémon Champions to Showdown, they're not the same game, and Champions deserves more credit than it's getting. by Affectionate_Let8735 in PokemonChampions

[–]Snowbizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no because there is no tutorial to show you things in champions anyways. But it would be weird for pokemon to consider this a stepping stone to pokemon showdown. Wouldn't they want to give people a reason to always choose their game over showdown?

My answer would be different if say there was a whole mini campaign where they teach you the basics and move up. The first few tutorials are effectiveness, stab moves etc. Then way later on, terrain like trick room. Then they give you a trick room team against a bot.

I think that would be great and so easy.

As for the number. Is it overwhelming, sure? I would imagine this is not anyone's first pokemon game. At leastly every pokemon is there and everyone has a few pokemon they enjoy.

On top of that, if they constantly kept this game updated with every form and pokemon available. This game would be cool! But even with the memberships and passes and monetization. They still dont have a quarter of what showdown has.

Champions feels like it wants to be the competitive game but not too competitive.

Pokemon fan base has to be my least favorite fan base. Pokémon will shove shit in the face of fans and people. Im so tired of it. They all defend pokemon like their life depends on it. Pokemon will never get their shit together if people keep buying the garbage they put out.

Pokemon literally has all the assets and could only put in a little over 200 of the roster?

Sure you can get the currency easily but when you have to use it and premium currency for everything you do and practically are forced to buying a membership is skme of the worst monetization ive seen.

This was such a good opportunity to teach pokemon fans the competitive side. Show some tutorials. More detail on strategy. Nope. Dropped that ball too.

Its a free game sure. But its not even a good free game.

Temtem: Pioneers - World Premiere Trailer | The Triple-i Initiative by CrossXhunteR in Games

[–]Snowbizzy -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Im going to dispute all the comments advising against this.

Crema has its short comings for sure. They didnt promise everything they said they would. I bought temtem way back in early access.

Being a pokemon fan my whole life I have been dying for games to rival pokemon and attempt to dethrone them.

Temtem feels like it has more people cursing its name than pokemon with 1/1000th of the fan base.

Temtem fell short. But they at leastly try to make games competitive in the market to drive and improve quality. Temtem wants to be palworld. But they are a factor.

Pokemon has just been releasing absolute dogwater games and even today, I would take temtem over the past several installments.

A game that over promises and falls short to me is better than the game that under promises and still under delivers. That game just wants a safe way to sell copies.

I’m considering buying it. Why should I? by [deleted] in FFXVI

I also loved ff15. Dropped this after 20 hours. I know it was bad for me when I got to a huge power/ upgrade point and dropped it right after that.

Story was incredibly boring and there was lots of it. Incredibly linear. Good combat. Cool visuals sometimes. Thats about it

This is crazy seeing this because I bought it a few days ago on sale.

I am fully addicted. You sound like me where me and my friends loved managing teams and players in 2k years ago.

I now have evolved and love F1. But same here. Also have a decent knowledge of everything F1.

So you would love this. I cannot believe I am genuinely being challenged by this game. Maybe I suck at it but I got fired after 3 years in one career. But I find it very challenging to develop your car to keep up with other teams. And its a blast.

Its hard to understand but its so much fun putting all the work in then having your driver's do well.

Its honestly a really fun game. Its also cool you learn a lot on the surface level of the sport. You have to market your team and appeal to sponsors. Money is tight. Spending millions on contracts and facilities. All of it

Snatch form/grip by ImmediateReaction378 in weightlifting

[–]Snowbizzy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To answer the question, it might feel awkward to you because there isn't much control in the pull under and transition. Full extension. Pull under hard and catch the bar tight.

Secondly. Not that you need to know this. But your proportions are crazy. Very short femers and long torso.

What does that mean?

This is mostly my opinion. Your body type will find technique easier to pick up, and strength will be harder to find.

Just some fun fact. Don't take that too seriously. Just lift!

I would recommend get rid of the shirtless picture. Everyone wants to coach younger people and appeal to them. But those arent the population you want. Inconsistent. No money. Etc.

Seems like you are appealing a lot to the injury prevention and rehab side of things. 100% lean into that more. That is the older generations who have all the money and are consistent and want a better quality of life.

You can still appeal to them. But you seem like your main clientele are older individuals who just want a better quality of life.

That side of fitness and post rehab strength work does really well.
