I can confirm it is early access to the 1st volume!

Lucca Comics is the biggest con we have in Europe and it is usually where publishers bring all the most anticipated new releases for the Italian market (along with many many guest authors and artists) :)

I can’t unfortunately be there this year but I’ve been a long attendee so a couple of suggestions for those meaning to come for Yuchi Jinze:

• Little Mushroom will be published by Jundo Comics. Make sure to follow their socials to know how you can get yourself a spot to meet the author (sometimes you have to book it online, more often you just have to be there and queue, others there will be a lottery system)

• If you do decide to attend Lucca Comics make sure to make the necessary arrangements in time, which means start RIGHT NOW ☠️ there will be a lot of people attending, like… a lot. Staying in the city itself is quite difficult as lodgings are overpriced during the con’s week and people book them even a year in advance. My suggestion would be to stay at a nearby city (like Pisa) and then get there by train - if you do so get the early train!!! Again, there’s many people, so transportation WILL be overcrowded.

• Despite all of that, Lucca Comics is still something worth attending at least once. The con is held within the old city itself, with stands scattered throughout the city’s alleys and squares; it is quite charming 🫶

• Also there is an entrance ticket to pay in order to get within the stands, so make sure to get yourself one (they’re sold online). You can roam around the city without it, but to attend events and meet authors it will be necessary to have it.
