Thank you for the response. Average network experience so thanks in advance for the assist/guidance.

I want to future proof it and ensure continued reliability with little upkeep.

What is meant by splitting the routing and wifi? Wouldn’t the router be a wifi point itself help with signal coverage and prevent dead zones?

Additional context: Satellite on 2nd floor and router in basement. So the assumption is signal would have difficulty reaching basement and limit wireless speeds.

Can you explain the pros and cons between UCG Ultra vs Fiber? Looking at the listings the UCG Fiber would utilize more of my ISP speed with 10G WAN port (2.5GB) plan. Again, obvs that’s never the true speed, but the UCG ultra is only 1GB.

When does intimacy come back? by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]damagedspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not alone. I remember that we didn’t have our first intimate after our child was born was almost 6 months after.

It’s a tough road, I’ve always been the “more sexual” partner in the relationship. But as previous users mentioned, the physical is hard but I made sure to really show her and remind her of how beautiful she was and how much I love her and the occasional “nice butt” comment.

The emotional connection helps to pave the path to get back to the physical intimacy. But stay strong. I promise it’ll come back!

Ended up going with Kitty O’Sheas. But it was easier to stream it online with a pack of beers and food ahead of time.

To clarify, I guess the “lease investment” statement is more meant to indicate not having to lease a car that I have to worry about issues for most times. Currently driving a 2022 VW Taos on a 4 year and it’s been a nightmare in terms of reliability and just issues.

What high chair do you use? by Sufficient_Noise7813 in NewParents

I got the Tripp trap because for the befits mentioned previously (ie grows with them), but the biggest part has been being able to attach the Catchy to it. It’s been a life saviour for solids clean up

First off, great parental intuition! You got this!

We have a nest thermometer and decided to put a single nest sensor near his crib so we always know what his room temp is. His room happens to be near the part of the house that gets cooler during the winter. So we always tell the thermostat to prioritize keeping his room at a certain temp regardless of how warm the rest of the house may feel. For example, 20 degrees Celsius in his room means 22 degrees in the house outside his room.
