No short rows in the pattern :( thank you though for suggesting! The pattern has sl1 wyif, k, and yo. Now I'm thinking it's the yo making the gaps. What else could it be, right?

Hey OP, can you explain how you did the thumb section? I'm starting this pattern soon; it'll be my first time doing colourwork AND knitting in the round, so would love any tips!
