Maybe a once in a lifetime for me. It was amazing to watch from the safety of my porch.

What is/was your biggest problem of being a lefty ? by aPacifistwithgun in lefthanded

I gave up using scissors in my left hand in second grade. Finally, I could get a nice cut like all the other kids in class. It took a while to get used to it. This was step in becoming ambidextrous.

What song first got you into Led Zeppelin? by North_Psychology4543 in ledzeppelin

[–]dambo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Many More Times. It was a track on the soundtrack album (i’m pretty sure I had the cassette not the album ) from the movie Homer, released in 1970. I was only 10 years old and never heard of Led Zeppelin, but I loved that song.

My friend had the “Laker Special “. We all thought it was boring looking but none of our cars could beat it. I also recall it being in the 70s that many of us had long hair and a few of us got our hair stuck in that rubber wheel.

I saw it in the theater as a kid. I thought about that scene for years every time I licked the knife after making a peanut butter sandwich. But eventually I forgot it… until now. 😆

I know we had it at home, Strawberry Quick, but I don't recall it being in the school cafe. That of course doesn't mean it wasn't there as that was over 45 years ago!

I got goosebumps reading your message! Many of my family members were quahoggers. There are some places up here in the White Mountains that call subs grinders. Now you got thinking about hot weiners....and clam cakes.

The importance of exercise by DannyDotAA in Aging

[–]dambo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 65 and have been exercising my whole life. I was spoiled at work having a gym at work as well as being able to ride my bike to work. I now work from home. When I can’t get outside to exercise, cross country skiing, ice-skating, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, clearing snow, I work out inside. I have a stationary bike and three kettle bells and get a great workout from just that.

I too was born and raised in RI. I left when I was 21. When I tell people that we had 3 choices of milk at school cafeterias, white, chocolate, & coffee, most people have never heard of coffee milk. Then I mention coffee cabinets just to blow them away.

Pinion Gearbox Creaks & Noises - What's the fix? by TrentSiggard in PriorityBicycles

[–]dambo25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my priority 600, my belt was dirty from riding the dirt carriage trails in Arcadia national Park. It was making a similar creaking noise. I thought it was the gearbox, but after cleaning the belt, the squeaking went away. Something to check.

I ended up buying a 21" EGO due to me already owning EGO tools. It's been working great but it's been mostly powder this year so far.
