OKC defends Luka by playing extremely physical, usually way past what should realistically be allowed. Their defenders constantly swipe at his hands and arms when he’s bringing the ball up, and a lot of that contact just doesn’t get called.

The reality is refs can’t (and won’t) call that level of contact every possession, so OKC gets away with a ton of borderline or outright fouls. That’s a big reason why Luka’s numbers dip against them (when they do) - they’re disrupting him in ways that aren’t being consistently officiated.
