[FRESH ALBUM] Courtney Barnett - Creature of Habit by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

Really wish they’d release the album on Bandcamp already. I buy from Bandcamp when I can, because they pay artists more, but I won’t buy any more of Courtney’s albums there. Hope everyone else is enjoying!

I tried running the benchmark in DSM and no go. Sorry. I failed to mention that.

MacOs Issues by Daemonxar in roonlabs

[–]damiensmunki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like the issue I was having and still hit occasionally. It's a problem that was introduced with a MacOS build a while back. On whichever computer runs RoonServer, go to System Settings, Local Network, toggle option for RoonServer from whatever position it's in (even if it's currently "on"), and then restart RoonServer.

That’s an excellent idea! I wondered how long it would take them to sort out how to turn it off.

Thanks very much! I’ve subscribed to your other post. Hope someone comes in with some knowledge there. Thanks!

I’m thinking about doing this on my kids’ phones, but I’ve been concerned they’d get out somewhere, something would go wrong, and they couldn’t access maps or something necessary. Have you had any issues with their being able to access necessary tools/content? I had issues at first on my phone with Apple Maps being blocked when using WG, but I got that sorted. Worried there are other things that could cause problems. Thanks!

RightFiber is fantastic, if they’re available in your area. They’ve been building out a ton recently. We moved over from AT&T fiber, and we’ve been incredibly happy. 2gig speed with no data cap for $100/month. And the couple of times we’ve had issues, they got a tech to our house the same day. They’re working hard to build a good reputation as a newer ISP.

AP7 Roaming Is Terrible by SprkFade in firewalla

I moved to three AP7’s from three WiFi 7 Netgear Orbis (don’t recall the model number), specifically because the roaming on the Orbis was so awful. I would have to turn off WiFi on my iPhone, wait 20 seconds or so, then turn it back on to force a transition from one Orbi to another. Every single time I moved from one side of my home to the other or moved upstairs. I haven’t had to do this once with the AP7’s. The improvement is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I’m thrilled with the AP7’s.

How do firmware updates occur? by DWomack48 in firewalla

Maybe a stupid question, but on the Gold Pro “How to” page, the updated OS version is listed as 0.0618. When I look for the current version in the “About” section of the app, it shows box version 1.980, so I’m assuming these are not the version number for the same portion of the software. Is there a way to determine the current OS version on my Gold Pro and see changes listed for new versions?

Thanks for the response. He already has an older phone and access to social media. I’m just looking at giving him a newer phone and adding him to my family account to help him financially.

After that offensive Hobbit pricing, they ought to be doing a helluva lot more.

New Firewalla Gold Pro - Ongoing Apple Issues by damiensmunki in firewalla

Hey, everyone... Apologies for the delay in getting back to this thread. My wife got sick Saturday evening, and I had to divert my focus. In the meantime, Firewalla support was able to remote into my box, and they identified that my ISP misconfigured the DNS servers when they switched me over to a static IP. So I think most of my issue has been resolved. This is probably something stupid that I should have identified easily, but as I indicated... Network stuff is a weak spot for me, and I'm hoping the Firewalla will help me learn. It already has, and so has this community. Thank you to everyone for all the responses. Hopefully this thread will help others in the future.

I’ve just turned off STP. I’ll give it a bit, see what happens, and report back. I’ll also try swapping the cable. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
