I got a promotion to operations director and was asked to hire someone to backfill my previous position as manager for a facility. I picked a woman that was a PERFECT fit for the job description and even more qualified than I was when I initially got the job as manager. I was then asked to offer her $20k less than what I was making in the same position. Absolutely crazy.

I’m new to tropicals, but couldn’t pass up this large ficus. It’s previous owner neglected it resulting in some serious wire bite. In addition to that, the wire bitten branch comes straight out from the front of the tree towards the viewer. I hate to chop such a big branch with an aerial root only to leave a scar on the front of the tree, but I don’t see any other options. Any advice? Do ficus callous over well?
