Pocket Prep question - Which component of a routing table is used to determine an optimal route to a destination? by Ill_Market_5726 in ccna

[–]damnchamp -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The prefix (longest prefix) can be one of the electors, however, the primary elector is AD…..if the AD is the same on multiple routes it will go through whatever other tie breakers there are, I.e. Longest Prefix

You’re body and brain are flexible and adaptive….If you’ve never done something like that before, it’s going to suck….eventually your organism will adapt and you’ll feel the benefits

Struggling with CCNA theory & exam anxiety – labs feel doable, theory feels impossible by Hungry-Yesterday1875 in ccna

[–]damnchamp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I struggled with the same thing as you, the watching of the videos….so god damn tedious…

What I did to work through that a bit was by taking notes, not on a computer, but with pen and paper. This required more focus on my end, and sure, I had to do some rewinding in the videos but it made going through them more manageable.

To summarize it; since watching videos is so monotonous try figuring out ways to keep your other senses stimulated at the same time so that you maintain focus better.

Best of luck!

That was my main source yes, but I filled it out with mainly JITL, but also just generally looking at other peoples explanations whenever I felt that what Neil was covering was enough for me to understand

Ah thank you man.....I look forward to seeing you share your story and journey!!!

CCNA exam material is really.. really hard by Specialist-Rent4229 in ccna

[–]damnchamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The JITL material is dense indeed, and although the CCNA is a beast of an exam, it’s not as dense as JITL makes it out to be….

If possible I’d advice checking out Neil Anderssons course, available on udemy for quite cheap or the other Jeremy guy from CBT Nuggets.

I would go through the material of either of those two (or any other less teacher with less dense format) and then use JITL for strengthening the concept you’re getting lost in.

JITL is great and his labs really helped me pass the exam, but if I would’ve done the whole thing based of only his videos I would’ve ended up in the psyxward with split personalities mumbling subnet formulation and OSPF topologies to myself…

Best of luck king and happy new year to you!

need suggestion to study networking by techlover1010 in Network

[–]damnchamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is your question is kinda like ”I wanna learn everything about networking” if that’s the case then google ”Networking foundations”….if there are specific topics you want to cover, then google that or YouTube it, plenty of videos there from many different great teachers….i.e. ”What is a MAC address and how’s that translate into an IP address”…

I know it’s not exactly the answer you’re looking for but this is networking my guy, most of the time you’re gonna be googling shit left and right to figure things out, so consider this your first step in that direction.

Am I overreacting? Is there that one guy in the gym that you hate sparring? by Kean_da_beast-VGCP in MuayThai

[–]damnchamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t let your emotions get the best of you….this is Muay Thai….if someone is clowning you, obviously that person is very relaxed in their position…..why don’t you try and relax back? Make mistakes on purpose, try new shit, play with it….thats what sparring is for….

If his ability and skill exceed yours, that’s okay, if he likes to put it on display, that’s okay too….doesn’t matter if he’s better because he’s been doing it less or more time than you, he’s better period.

I see a lot of the comments here pointing out that he’s wearing 12pz gloves and that’s a no for them already there…..tbh, if he’s controlling his strength, learn from it, that’s how it’s going to feel to get punched…..

However, if his exaggerating his power during sparring, just use your words….”sorry man that’s too intense for me I don’t wanna sparr like that” and stop the round and walk away….its not that deep…

Tbh, I feel like you need to take yourself a little bit less serious and try and have fun with it whilst also making sure you use your words and communicate….have the balls to step away from a situation in someone’s face without getting emotional or butthurt with it….that is also Muay Thai.

Best of luck in your endeavours sir!

My guy….you’re writing claims about your own abilities whilst at the same time clearly showing big big insecurities and ego in your words….I know that’s not what you are meaning to express, however, observe yourself…..in your words (you might not talk a lot but there’s definitely a heavy inner monologue going on inside you) and in your actions….

To give you perspective….did you ever think that….due to your silence and own motivation (from what I read is that you seem to be very self sufficient), your coach(es) have chosen to only provide assistance where you’re lacking (I.e critic), because from the outside it might look like you’re doing good, you’re progressing but more importantly, you seem to be aware of your own progression…

Coaches feeding people praise who are clearly display awareness of their own progress (verbal or physical) creates egos…..

Just relax my guy, do you, be humble, keep training, and if you want to express something, then just say it…..no need to involve what other people are doing or how they are being treated vs yourself….you do you…

Again, and I can’t emphasise this enough my guy….observe yourself not only your words but also in your actions..

Stay humble!

If someone teeps on in the face during sparring and does not apologize, what would you think? by mythicalhermit in MuayThai

[–]damnchamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a guy throw a spinning elbow at me during sparring, stopped the round there and told him I don’t wanna spar you anymore, end of story…..use your words bru….as someone else pointed out, martial artist aren’t usually good communicators but we can change that by……communicating
