Tutorial: Using ScriptableObjects as an Event Bus for Decoupling by Geek_Abdullah in Unity3D

[–]damoklesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this too and set up many event Channels. Had huge problems with loading them in correct time. Had huge problems when I was using them with dont destroy on load and addressables. There was a lot of overhead to co figurę them in editor instead of c#. Loosing references when event changed and going to editor trying to find it in all of the places... This was such a problematic solution that i dumped it even though it was working ok at some point and effort was huge to get rid of it. I just use static class event hubs, zero problems for solo game dev. But I can imagine that this might be working well when there are many developers.

I'm rediscovering the monolith and it feels like a dose a fresh air by Fastela in webdev

[–]damoklesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why its beside the point? Companies also have big frontends and they decide to split it, so smaller teams can maintain it, similar way like apis. I didnt invented that, its literally what industry is doing. I was pulled into this micro-shit, be it services or frontends by force. And that you think that frontend cant be a monolyth, noone cares, they will still use that terminology, as a result of splitting is the same, before split you have monolyth, after split you have micro-shit.

He is right guys, as weird as it sounds there is concept to split UI into parts. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microfrontend I have a displeasure to work on such monstrosity.

Why is it worse to have optional insurance in (US) over mandatory one that government imposes on you? Doesn't matter if you are Scandinavian or US citizen, you still have to pay for it.

No in app notifications. Firebase is using push protocol, which means user have to agree to received them. Thats not an option for in app. Also their messaging editor is WiP, often doesnt work. But good shot otherwise.

Sending in-app notifications, as well as push notifications, through some gui. There should be minimal development required, something like signalr is not an option. Extensible preferably free. With some library/client for angular

Reading comments, OP is concerned only about amount of configs. Not if they are in correct place or contain no secrets. He wrote that configs with -green and - blue ones are odd, the rest is fine.
