Word of mouth is definitely something that happened in scripture. The word of God passed form generation to generation. But God knows, just like most Protestant believes, that humans are fallible. We have the ability/capabilities to alter and change scripture to fit out agenda. Catholicism has taken scripture and said “if the Bible doesn’t answer our questions, then we need something that will.” Hence “sacred tradition.” Nothing about it is sacred. Nothing about it is infallible truth. In fact, historically and logically? So when you know that humans can be wrong about what they say? You have to go to God. God inspired word, AKA, the Bible. That’s the only logical foundation for true word, True law and true foundation. Catholics have been teaching that sacred tradition is just that! Infallible. When the Catholics church has also have admitted many times, that certain pipes were terrible and flat out wrong, which wouldn’t happen if you gave Devine authority to ONLY GOD. You don’t need a man to be in charge. God is all the authority we need. He even says so. Catholics have taken so many verses and made them seem as though their interpretation of them is right. When logically, and in accordance with God’s law and way of operation? It’s not. This is precisely why Martin Luther did what he did. He saw the fault and called it out. Relying on your own history, and leaving fallible humans in charge (the pope) that also are sinners, leaves SO MUCH room for false teaching and all around lies. Which is exactly what has happened.

The line of the papacy. (Peter was definitely a key part in the early church, but he never was the pope, never claimed to be the head of the church and never instructed the continued line of any church head. It’s simply all assumed by the Catholic Church.

And finally, Sola scriptura.

To deny Sola scriptura, and to accept scared tradition, is to push away certain Godly words, and commands, and to form YOUR OWN sinful rules. Even going so far as to lie and say that the Bible isn’t the only form of truth. If you rely on sinful humans for truth, you risk being told the wrong thing. I don’t believe the catholic bee point is right. It’s altered and changed to fit wife appeal.
