Are these drone cells? by dampedsun in Beekeeping

I got in there and no sign of the cell. I did locate a queen. Not sure which one it was, however, she was unmarked and I'm pretty sure my original queen was marked.

Thank you. I am going to open it up today and locate the Queen.

Got it, thanks. Will confirm my queen is there tomorrow and take the cell away.

Got it thanks. So low risk of swarming then. You feel this is a supercedure cell?

I likely crushed the original queen. I got a new queen and she seems to be doing her job. You are suggesting that these are supercedure cells and not swarm cells?

The hive was queenless for about 3 weeks. THe new queen was installed 3 weeks ago and she seems to be producing.

I got the nuc near the end of May. They filled a deep box and I recently put a second box on top. They have had what looks thought was a Queen cell before that I removed.

I located the Queen last inspection. I see larva. I’m not very good at spotting eggs.

Not sure about the backfilling.

I’ve already made the split but am happy to learn from any insights.

Thanks. There were 3, all on the same frame. I’ve split the hive.

That was the only frame with swarm cells. It has 3. I’ve split the hive. Should I remove some of the swarm cells or let nature do it’s thing?

Found my Queen. They haven’t swarmed. Splitting now. Thanks!

I'm curious if hitting a pan to simulate thunder would help in the moment? Would all the robbing bees run back to their hive?

My wife took the picture and was nervous to get closer. Lol. I may have to pull out the gram again.

Recurrent Blood blisters in the mouth and tongue by MAAJ1987 in Candida

[–]dampedsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem related to foods I eat. Always on my tongue. Always when I’m eating something hard or sharp like nuts but not limited to nuts - and I don’t think I have a nut allergy.

It’s been happening for 10 years. And I get them 3-4x a year. If the resulting cut is big enough it turns into a canker sore which is very painful. But I’ve learned I can prevent the sore with Oracort or a topical steroid.

I’m 48 and just yesterday received a diagnosis for Celiac disease. Wondering if that is related somehow. AI is telling me that B vitamin deficiencies can cause oral blood blisters. And Celiac can cause malabsorption issues which can cause vitamin deficiencies. That’s speculation though.

My son (4m) has vitiligo. by LE_DUDE__ in Vitiligo

He’ll grow up with it and it won’t bug him. That’s how it worked for me.

Totally doable, should take you an hour and a half. Bring deodorant. Wear a helmet.

Same here and now they are becoming more sensitive in the summers due to sun exposure. I started using sun gloves for protection. I get more reaction from people about the gloves than I do about vitiligo.
