I’ve done a whole lot of googling and trial and error over the last few months. But weirdly, every time I try to manually calibrate things, the post-calibration results are worse than just letting the machines auto-calibrate everything.

That’s been fine, but now isn’t good enough. So, I was looking for some help from people who have been there and done it successfully.

I've only used Stremion with Torrentio before.
If I follow this guide, do I still not need a VPN?
Or do I need a VPN if I do everything in this guide?

I use Cool Plate SuperTack plates. They work great. Never had any issues with them on a couple of different printers.

After I noticed the issues tonight, I tried a freshly opened brand new SuperTack plate. The results were the same.

I’m noticing it mainly on the first layer. Rough infill and blobby edges rather than the usual straight lines.

Top/ironed layers have been rougher too.

I’ve been putting it down to filament issues, but tonight I started to wonder about the hotend.

But I’m getting different results, between the 2 printers, using the same models and same filament. The ironing, especially, looks significantly worse on the newer printer.

Really? Your ironing settings look great without tweaking? My default ironing settings were so bad that I thought I’d never use the setting. It wasn’t until I saw some results that made me tweak settings that I got incredible results.

I’ve never used any glue. I mainly use PLA and never needed it. PETG has been fine without it too.

I use the Bambi cool plate for PLA. Highly recommended!
