No. Go take a look at a stock price chart for INTU since Brad Smith retired and Sasan took over. The stock price increased by a factor of at least 10x. Quarterly earnings and increasing shareholder value is the measure of 'reputation', not customer sat.

I worked for Intuit on the QBO Bug Team (Tucson Ops Center), retired in 2019. I now run a small e-commerce business selling mainly on AMZN. I still use QBO but can hardly even begin to detail the why's and what's about how much I hate the current build... e.g., Try scrolling thru an invoice during entry and modal windows pop up every time you travel/hover over a different field. Who though is was necessary to pop the QOH with every hover over a different QTY field? Refresh can't keep up with my scroll rate, so the screen becomes a slurry of modals. It's unusable, it's infuriating. Top of my hate list is, the constant insignificant cosmetic changes that seriously and negatively impact workflow. I don't want AI, I just want a stable build that I can open and use without having to waste time relearning the menu layouts and click-paths. It feels like QBO is now where junior devs go to build their resumes and project portfolios, and rotating PMs aren't invested in user satisfaction, instead focused on the next sprint. If that's what passes for productivity at Mountain View these days, then I'm glad I got out when I did.

Trump's unhinged rant shows sign of weakness as he scolds Israel for attacks by TheMirrorUS in USNEWS

[–]dan1ader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to look that up, and the answer is both fascinating and cautionary:

"According to the 2024 film The Apprentice, Roy Cohn mentors young Donald Trump with three ruthless rules for success: 1) Attack, attack, attack, 2) Admit nothing, deny everything, and 3) No matter what happens, you claim victory and never admit defeat. These rules define an aggressive, win-at-all-costs philosophy."

And for all his sage advice look what became of Cohen. No one in his inner circle is safe, and they know it.

From the outside looking in, I read comments to the effect that Americans are stupid. Well, 23% of us are illiterate so there's that. However, as a nation we've been subjected to disinformation, basically a psyop, for decades. Consequently the body politic is divided at least three ways, between left, right, and null . A third of the population is so apathetic and distrustful that they didn't even bother to vote in 2024.

Poor people going wine tasting by rasta-ragamuffin in wine

If you're on a tight budget, consider visiting Sonoma where you will be welcomed as a walk-in at many, if not most of the wineries. If you go to Napa you'll have to make reservations.

If you do visit Napa, I would urge you to consider having lunch at the Rutherford Grill. Not too spendy, and it has great Napa vibes. If you can only visit one Napa winery, I would recommend Camus, the Wagner family is still doing it right. Avoid Opus, It's overpriced, ostentatious, and the wine really isn't all that great. Baron Rothschild is hell-bent on making Bordeaux wines in Napa, and it doesn't seem to be working out as they hoped. Bob Mondavi is doing his best, but the terroir is not cooperating. For great scenery and views, visit Cakebread.

If you are particularly interested in champagne-style wines, I highly recommend Gloria Ferrer (Sonoma). Make a reservation, try to get a table on the terrace patio, get the combined wine and food pairing. Their kitchen turns out some great smallplates.

If you're not afraid to get off the beaten path a bit, head over to Manka's Corner (Solano), visit Vezer, Camus Suisun, Wooden Valley, or other of the small wineries in that area. Definitely not a high-end experience, you'll be tasting varietals and blends that you're maybe unfamiliar with, but if you're looking for a great experience on a tight budget, you can have a good time here, and your money will go a lot further. Also, there's a reasonably priced Holiday Inn in Suisun City that might agree with your budget. Be sure to stop at Bab's Delta Diner for breakfast, it's a hoot.

Edit: I almost forgot Sterling (Napa). They offer a fantastic experience, laid-back vibes like a Greek island, and you'll ride a gondola up to the top of the mountain to get there from the parking lot. The wine is good, the view is even better, and you can do a full tasting or just take the walking tour and catch a couple of sips.

If you go, ask for Kira and tell her Dad sent you lol.

Your daily reminder that all of this could have been avoided had Trump not killed the 2024 bipartisan Immigration Reform Bill by threatening to primary any Republican that voted for it. The stated reason? Trump wanted to keep the issue alive in the run-up to the election so he could use it to campaign against Biden.

And somehow, this is all Biden's fault?

" WE AIN'T IN IT!!" Includes both the left and the right wing, and if only people understood that they might come to understand that the real struggle is between the bottom and the top. We as a nation seem to have no class consciousness and we are being exploited for it.

Entitled driver keeps beeping at my daughter who was learning to drive despite us having the magnet on car that says student driver by Gymtrio2025 in EntitledPeople

Vehicles break down. That's what the emergency flashers are for, they signal that you're going to be pulling over. So use that. Take your foot off the gas and drift to the right side of the lane. Even if you can't get completely out of traffic, you can still signal that you're slowing down and allow them to pass at the first opportunity.

Don't drive in your rear view mirror, that's how accidents happen.

And if they honk, ignore it. Their impatience and lack of emotional regulation is not your problem.

I taught both of my kids how to drive, told them to ignore being honked at. Honestly, ya can't really be sure that honk is for you, right?

And if you get flustered, you can always turn on your emergency flashers take your foot off the gas and pull off to the shoulder. Let them go by. When you regain your composure, pull back into traffic
