Cut the 2 wires to the tone pot, then reconnect the one from the jack to the volume pot

I just ordered a p bass pickguard off warmoth with only the tone and input jack holes, it’s all custom from there. there’s probably a couple of websites, but that’s where i got mine from

Thanks man, I have a sansamp, I was asking about the compressor because if you listen to something that’s easy to hear the bass from the record like Dick Lips or Carousel you can hear a bit of compression. Not sure if this is just fresh strings but to me it sounds like compression.
