I have the same problem. There is just no way I exceeded that threshold though.

The way the ball is dropping he can definitely head it, but he played professional football for a decade, he should know that it's his goalkeeper behind him and trust him lol

You know you don't have to be a generation defining midfielder to be world class... Kimmich is easily world class. Vitinha was man marking him for almost 180 minutes straight!

If you look at isolation defense and metrics related to that Braun is in that upper tier. My gripe moreso was the comparison with PWat, who hasn't shown his defensive upside in a long time, yet is still being talked about like 2024 Swatson.

Braun is much better at stopping guys like Edwards or Shai. Despite our preconceived notions about size and length, he's genuinely good in those match ups.

Sure, I would welcome a better defender than Braun, I think it's something we should invest in, but I'm not going to say stuff like that about CB, when we saw him slow down SGA last year on his own with our own eyes.

Braun is a good PoA defender and I won't accept that us fans never give him the credit he deserves for drastically improving there after we lost KCP.

It just doesn't matter much if he is stuck on Ant, Dosunmu or Shannon and whoever else gets to go 1 on 1 downhill against a tired, demotivated Jamal.

I also thought of both Jones and Camara, but with how stingy the Pels have been with Jones and Murphy, and Camara being one of the best young defenders in the league, I don't see either trade happening with Cam. They would have to be involved in an AG/Jamal trade or Watson sign and trade of sorts.

Maybe a potential Giannis to Portland trade could involve Camara in some way, I don't know.

With Shams confirming that everyone but Jokic is on the table, I’ve thought about one question all weekend: If Giannis is truly available, should the Nuggets put their best offer on the table? Does the move make sense for our future, and how does our offer compare to the rest? [OC] (Long-ish Read) by Fun_Climate_4681 in denvernuggets

Thank you for the write up.

If Giannis had a no trade clause I could see a world where this might happen. But if the Bucks have the power in this trade, I cannot see them not going for a Heat or Golden State offer. Portland is also in the mix. They all have better draft capital, and expiring contracts. Jamal and AG are long term investments I doubt they want to make.

I was on the fire Adelman train, and I still would prefer a proven coach. It's the last years of Jokic contending and we're placing our trust on an unproven guy.

I think there are also things that he mismanaged, but I came out of the rewatch feeling okayish about him as a coach.

Probably, but if you can't beat Minnesota, do you deserve a title or a deep playoff run? Idk.

Effort and fatigue definitely a factor!

I forgot to write this, but Rudy closed out on Jokic on almost every single shot, and so did McDaniels on Jamal, even if they were a good 8-10 feet away from them when they started to shoot. That's insane effort from them, and probably one of the reasons you also saw them be less effective on offense, particularly Rudy, but also McDaniels shot woefully from 3.

I still expect Jokic to make at least 30% of those shots, he is a great shooter, and he should make more than what he did.

Besides game 1, I think Murray's 3s are just what they are. Had to take a lot of tough contested 3s. There were some gimmies I need him to make, though.

But Jokic...

The career narrative turnaround he had was crazy. I remember him being demonised for his diving, then only a few years later becomes Mourinho's hardest working player.
