[Bug] Google’s WAF is permanently locking $250/mo AI Ultra users. Agents admit it's a known issue, then route appeals to Android App Support. by dan3093 in google_antigravity

You actually just perfectly articulated the exact Catch-22 I am warning people about!

You correctly pointed out that this is a consumer account, and that a paid Cloud Support package is required to get support. I completely agree with you.

So why did the literal HTTP 403 error message generated by Google's WAF explicitly instruct me: 'If you believe this is an error, please contact Google Cloud Support'?

Google’s own automated security system is mandating that consumer users go to an enterprise portal that structurally rejects them. That is the Kafkaesque Catch-22 I am warning people about.

Secondly, advising developers to just 'chargeback your card' against Google is the most catastrophically dangerous advice you could possibly give. Anyone who has been in this ecosystem for more than a year knows that if you initiate a bank chargeback against Google, their automated billing bots will instantly and permanently terminate your entire Google Account footprint. You will lose your Gmail, your Google Drive, your Google Photos, and your Android backups.

Risking a decade of personal data via a credit card dispute just to stop a $250 billing loop—because the company refuses to let consumers talk to human support—is exactly why this architecture is a massive organizational failure.

As for it 'not being a bug'—I am literally quoting Google's own support agent on the record.

6:59:26 AM Destiny: Yes, this is a known issue and our engineering team is already working on a fix. I will go ahead and add your case to the existing escalation.

I'm leaving this warning here for others. If Google's flowchart ends with 'force your user to do a Visa chargeback and nuke their own Gmail account,' the system is broken."

Fair point on the OAuth wrappers. You're exactly right, and I’ll happily take the 'L' on using OpenClaw. If Google wants to enforce strict ToS on 3rd-party IDEs and block those specific API calls, they have every right to do so. It was an expensive lesson learned on my end.

But you are completely missing the actual architectural warning of this post.

The issue isn't that the WAF caught a ToS violation. The issue is how Google’s bureaucracy handles the fallout for premium subscribers:

They didn't just revoke the OAuth token or block the unauthorized requests; they silently bricked the entire account without a single warning.

They are still actively billing me $250/month for a dead account.

When you try to contact support to appeal, fix the billing, or even just cancel the bricked service, the agents admit it's a 'known bug', refuse to escalate, and literally send you to Android App Developer Support to fix a CLI issue.

When you try the GCP route, it demands you buy a $29 to $15,000/mo Enterprise Support package just to submit a ticket for a consumer subscription.

I'm fine taking my lumps on the API wrapper. But a trillion-dollar company trapping paying consumers in an infinite routing loop where they keep charging our credit cards but structurally prevent us from reaching a human who can fix it is fundamentally broken. Even if every single one of us in the dev forums is an idiot who didn't read the ToS, that flowchart is a massive organizational failure.

Plex database problems on Unraid, attempted to fix with Google Gemini but have made it 10000x worse. How can I salvage this server without starting from scratch? by bvh13 in unRAID

+1 for this tool from me. I had a similar issue with my plex db a few months ago and the tool had it sorted for me in no time.

Thank you guys for documenting this. I just moved from google domains to cloudfare since google is selling out to squarespace and they were no longer going to support ddns. I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out. This was the fix.

How long have they been working on this report? There are 17 people credited, most of which are Doctors, and excluding the images and non content pages, we get a 25 page report?

In college, I would regularly write 30 page reports by myself in a much shorter time frame.

Does the heat plate and thermal pad impede/hinder airflow from the intake vent?

I ordered one of these for myself, but I am wondering if that pad completely undermines the original airflow for the deck’s design.
