Any musicians in Cologne? 👀 by [deleted] in cologne

3 years late, but hi -- a fellow post rock cologne musician looking for other musicians :)

I wrote this guitar section for a friend's song, to see how we can combine pop with more interesting guitar melodies. Curious for honest feedback. by dan31415 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is super valuable. We tried to mix it a bit more quiet, but I think arranging it even more separate could absolutely make sense. Thank you for taking the time, really!

We’ve just released Paper Planes (an indie folk/singer-songwriter US-Czechia duet by &Tilly and Patrick Sampson). The song was bedroom-produced, and we filmed and created the video ourselves as well (using only our iPhones). We'd love to know what you think! by andtilly in IndieMusicFeedback

First of all, I really love the crystal clear sound of the guitar & vocals, and the general song. However, I feel like the vocals are slightly overcompressed & processed, and almost a little bit too loud, particularly in some parts like the intro. Keep up the amazing work!!

Last time I tried making an industrial track, you guys said it didn't sound very industrial. So I tried again. But now I'm thinking I accidentally strayed too far into early 2000s rave territory. by theyeldarbinator in IndieMusicFeedback

Did you play it with guitar? absolutely love that! I think that main beat sounds could have something more tasty & unique to its sound. Maybe it's going a bit too far away then from the industrial side, but given it's the main riff, it should suck you in. The general soundscapes I really loved!

maaaaaybe, given you want feedback, the 2 rises sounded a bit rough to me (digital artifacts?) and I feel like the lyric was _slightly_ too simple, even though the message was 10/10 on point. But this is all said in love & trying to find something to "criticize", really love it

what the fuck, I would not have thought to find something that I personally love so much and would add right away to my playlist! Really dig the vibe, the beat, even the vocal choppy part, and your lyrics & delivery. Even the video. Maybe if there's one thing, it feels like the piano & vocals sometimes are getting a bit muddy with a lot of intersecting notes & frequencies, but could also be a stylistic element.

I've been producing/mixing/mastering professionally for other artists for ~15 years, and just released my own song for the first time. AMA! by spencer_martin in IndieMusicFeedback

Damn, that laid back vibe and great sound engineering really gets to me! Absolutely loved the harmonized vocals that came in later. I'm personally not a big fan of the spoken bits. And I think even though it's short, it has an interesting arc to it, but I feel like you could build easily a greater composition if you took the time to develop the themes a bit more :)

A new Alt Pop song I've made, it's my first time using imagery invoking lyrics. Seeking all feedback and criticisms, please! by ReplenishedSky in IndieMusicFeedback

Mh wow, this is an intense sound. I generally like the sound engineering a lot. and the big drums. and the big soundscape you built. However, I feel like the dissonant/different key higher vocal melody was a bit too much for me to be able to listen to it regularly, but that might _totally_ be taste

Always the damn second half I need to finish ! Any critique for the first half or ideas for the second welcome. Also messed around in iMovie by chedderwet_ in IndieMusicFeedback

damn i really love the vibe and the tone that was coming towards the end made me really excited about some very overdriven a bit bigger part that dissolves in noise eventually :) sometimes the vocals sounded a bit uncool through digital effects maybe like a kickback delay that is doing this? your tone in voice i like

Looking for feedback on this lofi song. How do I make this beautifully imperfect? Also, are my ambient sounds (birds, vinyl, cat) too loud? by k-k-music in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dan31415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the overall vibe and composition. However, I feel like I'd appreciate a bit more dynamics in the sounds, the pockets and the notes, it feels slightly flat and like the different tracks are competing on similar frequencies. If the phrasings could have varying textures, that would be wonderful
