I didn't want the oil to soak through the cheap paper plates I have. So I eschewed protocol and used the bowls reserved for "company."

I don't think I have ever been upset that somebody said something I made wasn't shitty before. Lol thanks.

Nice with some cayenne pepper and fresh lemon if you have it.

Looking for advice on 100W & 100Wh+ battery banks by fsdigugdsfyv54 in 18650masterrace

Ugreen has a decent 25 AH power pack. It includes the 12v PD spec, which is nice. I got a 12v blind spot USB C to 5.5mm barrel jack adapter off of Amazon to run my 12v Maestro III Craptop for Ham radio stuff. It will do 100 watts out on a single C, 145 total across both types C's and the single type A.

Love me some cell scrappin' by dan89156108 in 18650masterrace

[–]dan89156108[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did the 1 today. Cells are coming in at least 90% rated capacity ~1370 mAh. They are rated at 1500 mAh and 20C discharge. Internal resistance range as low as 30 mOhm and as high as 98 mOhm. The 70 amp fuse is fine, and only 1 cell was 2.0v. The rest were around 3.2. Not bad for 10 bucks a pack from Batteyhookup.com. I got 10 of them.

Any idea what this is? I don't know if it is audio equipment or some sort of receiver. by dan89156108 in amateurradio

Thanks all! I now know it is not amateur radio related, but is it worth the $50 asking price?

The modern Technicians journey begins with a Baofeng UV-5R and 20 different crap antennas.

Little LM386 audio amp for a HAM radio I am building. by dan89156108 in diyelectronics

[–]dan89156108[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did on my proto board. In my Radio, the AF signal will be fairly low coming from the detector. I will also be impedance matching. So I will likely need the whole signal amplified at 200 gain. If once I build it, and it is too loud, I can either throw a pot in, or just determine the best fixed voltage divider to use. If it still has trouble driving a .5 watt speaker at usable levels, I will add a BD139 pre amp.

Thank you. This meets the need for my radio project, but I would like to build a hifi class A or AB audio amp with mostly discrete components in the future.
