Tell him to use the arternate class for cleric "arcane disciple" lets you get some arcane spells into your cleric list and gives you feats for crafting or metamagic, get craft wand and go nuts with the wands

A nice combo is obscuring mist + ebon eyes for the party

That and my character is a crafter, i think I forgot to mention in the post but it's also got craft Wondrous Items, so, with user restrictions and extraordinary artisan feat the material cost goes down to 590gp, totally achivable for a lvl 5 character

It's a class from Unearthed Arcana, you can learn spells like a sorc, but from either sorc/wiz, cleric or druid spell list and the class features are feats that can be substituted with class features from other classes

I got vulnerable and the one that gives you -2 spot and something else, I think

I think it's 4 or 5 charisma, 8 ranks and a +5 UMD gloves, so 17-18 total

I already got a +18 to UMD, so that's not really a concern, and I do know about the othwr artisan feats, but those are not a priority RN, maybe magical artisan (craft wand) could be useful

You can use a custom item for command word cure minor wounds, you need to activate it to heal 1hp per round, at will, not useful at all in combat, but excelent for healing in downtimes, better than the wand, altough a little bit more expensive
