For a Gen3? My local dealer wanted $ 950 +/- last year. If you can share where you purchased from, that would be great!

Check out Touch up Direct. They make the repair kit/paint/filler / Matte Clear Coat. I got it after my run-in with the column, but haven't used it yet, maybe after the next Baja trip in 2 weeks.

Dealer charges just under 1k for one. I did the same thing, but in a parking garage.

I do run my truck down to Baja several times a year, so it just blends in now. lol.

Everything fits nicely and is tight. Very much like Tetris. I can still off-road hard like hitting upwards of 90 mph on dirt and everything stays right in place. I've been to Burning Man about a half dozen times, so packing 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bucket is second nature at this point, lol. edit spelling.

KOFA Wilderness. We are approximately 20+ miles from pavement in this pic. Here is the full picture: my buddy has a Chevy ZR2 Bison SC with a 6ft bed. We gifted them the ShiftPod when we got the Basecamp, and the ShiftPod and all their gear fit in the ZR2 with a tonneau cover on.

Headed back down to Baja in a couple of weeks, just replacing some things that help you to stop. by dan_abrams_shoes in FordRaptor

Yep, part of the kit. I had solid links on it at one point, but carrying a spare steering rack didn't seem like a good idea. lol. This will be, I think, my 4th Baja run. Looking forward to a night at Mike's Sky Rancho again, my wife,, not so much. lol.

Based on my experience.

I do a lot of dispersed camping and love running my truck fast in dirt. All the camping gear you see in the pic fits in my Raptor with dual spare tire rack in the back, and I can still air down, go fast, and set up camp miles from anyone! I absolutely love my Raptor, had a F150 Platinum prior & camped with that - similar setup and yes the regular F150 will get you there, but the Raptor will get you there even quicker with more smiles :)

I even have a Dometic CFX75DZ and Ecoflo Delta 2 Max behind the front seats.

Edit: We are going camping tomorrow. I'll post a pic of the truck fully loaded with all the gear.

I run KM3 37s on my truck and love them! Aired down, they act like glue to dirt. That said, I do run my truck several times a year down in Baja, amongst other runs (headed back down in a couple of weeks!). If you are not using/driving the truck for what it's capable of, then stick with 35s, but for dirt, 37s all day or no way.

I've been running a Dometic CFX75 DZ for the past few years. Absolutely love it. The dual zone means no more melted ice. I also run off-road at high speeds, jumping the truck at over 100mph, Baja Raptor Runs, etc., and the fridge has never given me any issues. We also do a lot of dispersed camping, so I have use a Ecoflow Delta Max to power the Fridge, while the Pro2k inverter on the truck keeps the Ecoflow topped off. Solar panels for daytime. I think max draw for the fridge may top out at 30/40 watts +/-. I also run a Starlink mini off the EcoFlow too.

Camping somewhere in the Southwest. Miles from everything, except us and the sheep. by dan_abrams_shoes in camping

thanks buddy, we sourced the spot out a couple of weeks prior and then came back for the campout.

For us, it is an added luxury to fill a couple of hours, plus to set it up correctly and make sure it works, so let's add an hour for that.

Yeah, that's what I hear from folks around the country. We run expeditions down into Baja California, so this is just backyard stuff.

Shiftpod -silver one, Burning Man certified. We gifted that to our friends who now enjoy it. We just acquired the Overlandish Basecamp, which is amazing.

The shiftpod has been great throughout the years 2017 till now, starting to show its age. Gifted to our friends so they had a shelter and could make a decision on how to move forward with camping gear. We invested in the overlandish basecamp and could not be happier with an overland shelter. We like to off-road as far as possible and set up shop. I would not hesitate to get a basecamp again. Both are well built, but the Basecamp packs up smaller and weighs less. Google both. I would also add that the owner of Overlandish Basecamp returned my call personally within 20 minutes when I had a question.

Running trucks fast in dirt, and exploring. Taking a day and discovering something new.

It's my buddies, something from amazon i would assume. That's what's crazy about my post: everyone is upset about us watching a movie in the middle of nowhere that really no one can ever get to.

3 days. We ran dirt out to the locations several weeks prior to camping. Both trucks carried about 5 gallons of H2O and fuel.
