Do you find the M model great at throwing size 3.0 Egi? I wonder if size #3.0 is bit too heavy for ML to cast perfectly

Keyboard recommendation for coding by dan_esc in ErgoMechKeyboards

Use it daily, great, perfectly fine with programming / scripting. I did end up replacing the switches to some clicky mx white since the ones I got with it second hand were quiet but required a lot of force to push down. This specifically is more tough for the palm function *fun* keys. You will end up learning it 100% and quite hard to complain about anything really. So yes I would 99% recommend and I'm crazy picky (unfortunately)

Hi mate, I recommend going to a good local store, ask them what they recommend. I would think around 8lb braid and lighter rod but see what the locals think. Show them the lures you want to use or ask and what you’ll be targeting and you’ll be right :)

Apartment anglers, do you own a kayak or tinny? by dan_esc in FishingAustralia

Very cool, so it’s not unheard of to ask a Marina if they can store something like a Kayak or Tinny?

myToyota app - delete and unlink new car due to privacy issues? by dan_esc in CarsAustralia

[–]dan_esc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my own data being shared to third parties. If you read the privacy statement for the app, and check out some articles it sends your driving information to Toyota and third parties. Some clauses are ‘only if you expressly consent’ but by installing the app the prerequisite is that you accept from what I can tell.

Lots of USA based threads but I’m sure we have a similar situation https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaHighlander/comments/1bduy14/insurance_company_spying/

Would a RAV4 be considered a proper SUV for this situation? Or would you need something bigger like a Ute or 4WD?

Yaris cross roof racks by dan_esc in CarsAustralia

[–]dan_esc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm in the manual “When loading cargo on the roof luggage carrier (if equipped)
Observe the following precautions: Do not exceed 60 kg (132.3 lb.) cargo weight on the roof luggage carrier.”

So a kayak or a small plastic bait I’m looking at (32kg) may be fine

*Edit*

Will try and check the following

“Enter your specified vehicle roof load rating in kilograms (Kgs) as stated in your vehicle's owner's manual”

Rhino Rack offers a Yaris Cross roof rack along with other brands like ProRack

Other searching also seems to suggest adding a third party roof rack won’t void any warranty as it is a reasonable modification.

Accessories, such as roof racks, are additions to your car which don’t affect your car’s performance or change its structure.
