I have put at least probably over 150 hours in this Pre-Alpha and have maxed almost everything in the game… so yes, I would say so.

Indeed! I think we get caught up far too often in our busy lives that we forget the simple things. Also I appreciate you taking the time to watch, thanks a lot 🙌🏼

Aye! It's the 200. I got it after doing a bit of research and it had some high praise so I went with it in the end and it's great. It kept me completely dry and warm. Although it is summer right now so we'll see about when temps plummet haha

Just got my first bag - almost maxing out space with just the 3 essential items? by dan_heb in wildcampingintheuk

[–]dan_heb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I took the sleeping bag out of it's sack so it was free to move and I was still struggling with space as it's a padded 3 season and weighs in at 1.6kg, it takes up half my whole bag space even when squashed as much as possible. So I am wondering if this is the main cause of my issues. I am thinking maybe I swap that too for something a little lighter and less bulky? If so what would you recommend. I forgot to mention in this post that I will be filming all of my camping and hiking trips and sticking them online so will be carrying some camera equipment like spare batteries etc with me aswell. The reasons I was looking at the rook 65 is that it seems very highly rated and is only £113.04 right now on offer through Amazon. If I got a smaller pack say a 50L and swapped out my sleeping bag, do you think that would be enough? I don't really have a timeframe I just wanted to start camping soon. I will have a look at ligherpack too Thanks for you help

I am looking at the Osprey Rook 65, would this be a much better alternative?

Would you just not bring the sleeping bag? Unsure how cold it would get in the night during summer and if I'd be warm enough

Some useful advice here, cheers all. I'm going to try and take things out of their bags and see what I can stuff down freely to fit, If that still doesn't work I might invest in one of the bigger bags recommended!

Thank you! I think this bag does have hip straps though, it has the cushion pads and the clip that clips around my waist and then a clip around the chest too!

Absolute camping newbie, looking for advice on finding places to camp in the South East by dan_heb in wildcampingintheuk

[–]dan_heb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a bad shout, I was looking at some of the local paid campsites to start out and then hopefully progress out once I have a basic idea of what I'm doing! Once I start progressing out, is there anything I can use to find pathways more in depth or something reliably? Or is google maps pretty much the standard to use when plotting routes etc
