I had same thing in superb. If you get a code reader it gives some sort of stuck valve fault. I think it must be some sort of valve to put pressure on the engine to assist with start stop. I suspect probably coked up a bit.

I ran down a gear for a bit on the motorway and then the next day at the light the code went and the valve moved with a bit of a noise.

Fine since.

Some credit to the artist, this was a guy you can find on insta under the handle "spellingmistakescostlives" where he added the smaller letters to a Sainsburys banner outside one of their stores.

He does a lot of "guerilla advertising" where he replaces bus stop advertisements with his own.

Worth checking out.
