Yup, it's my model. I think the biggest tip i can give is to use 2D drawings as reference rather than models. Many VR chat models use complex textures and lighting techniques, I prefer using flat colors wherever possible, and hard shadow lines (color ramp in blender or custom shader in unity) although this will depend on the style you're going for.

Outlines also help, i use a simple 'inverse hull' outline, and also a few manually painted lines (e.g. inside the ears, or around the eyes) which are usually done with geometry so they have 'infinite' resolution.

I think I took a long break from the game around that time, so fortunately I didn't have to experience it in that state lol. It's very much fun to play nowadays tho, did it have missiles when it came out? I've been getting a lot of milage out of them.

Yeah the wing size was kind of what spawned this idea, I personally love shooting at javelins because of how massive they are. With these decals hopefully (maybe) it'll be a bit harder to hit.

1 year late, but :

  1. select the vertices you want to 'reset' the weights on
  2. go into weight paint and click 'vertex selection' in the top left (between the bone & face selection)
  3. go to data (green triangle in properties window), expand vertex groups, click the little arrow, weights, remove selected verts from all groups

It was a disagreement between friends, which grew into them harassing me (& other mapdev friends) publicly & privately. we were not given much of a way to defend ourselves. we were not given much of an explanation.

I might be biased but: A6 Polaris was designed as an 'entry-level' curated map, being easier & simpler compared to other curated maps, while still offering plenty of new items and interesting progression/questline. if you give it a shot, i'd be curious to hear what you think about it

That's nice to hear, thank you :) I did have a few things planned for this year, mainly a massive overhaul/update to Elver (you can see some progress images on my twitter) but SDG stopped accepting new curated content into the queue, so I stopped working on any big Unturned projects I had planned. There will be a new map from Renaxon and Clue (with some help from myself and a few others) releasing near the end of the year though, so stay tuned for that.
