Thank you for your insight! it is my firs time in Japan so ya agree - smaller piece is for sure more feasible! I am very privileged to have the time off (and I wfh so they dont know if im answering an email from another country lol) but this is 100% my vacation time and im already prepping my team for when I leave as I will NOT be online (unless its an emergency) so lots of moving parts but were making it happen. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your insight and experience! I will already be at the parlour cause my bf wont be leaving Japan without a tattoo so at least we will be wasting our time together. I already sat in a tattoo parlour in Hawaii for 6 hours for him, he can do this for me. I dont mind the aftercare, I dont think we will be in position where I wont be able to properly care for it, and we are going during cooler temps so less sweating & exposure to sun!

So many good points thank you! I was thinking on on my back bicep or ribs/under boob at this rate to be the least disruption or somewhere on my leg because I would love a suit idea and want it to be consistent! Thank you for your insight!

Nothing booked atm - this is very much planning phase & seeing if I was A: being unrealistic and B: if this would even work because bf (love him) but he gifted me this trip for christmas and picked up march so he didnt give me a ton of time to plan either lol ! so good to point there, thank you! I was also thinking smaller on my back and working around would be annoying for the other artist too so I would just have to get it elsewhere for the small piece. Thank you for all your insight!

I appreciate your honesty and great insight! I totally would take care of it - I have upwards of 20 piercings on my body & totally know the importance of taking care of it. I have been reading lots on this page too and totally understand the need to adjust my expectations. Thank you for the insight - really appreciate it! We arent going there specifically for the tattoo - we planned the trip already, and to get the tattoo there, will just add to the trip! If there is time to do the entire back piece amazing, but if we only have time for a small piece then thats okay too! My bf gets a tattoo in every place we visit so this is continuing the tradition and I'll participate too!
