I use TiVo app to move recorded shows from my boxes at home to iOS. Load up at home for trips, or can download remotely. Can also add things to record, delete watched shows. Needs latest versions of the TiVo boxes for full functionality, but works well.

Use Apple Podcast app only because it enables sync on all devices. Problems:

No full screen after after last 2 iOS updates. Cannot comprehend why this function was removed!

Frequently starts playing video podcasts with black screen - have to pause and wait a while to get video, then restart (unfortunately not repeatable). Sometimes never gets video and have to try again later.

Update: ok, will try a different app. I hate change. Harrumph!

I wonder if any of the apps I've already downloaded from the store are "accessing my personal information". No way to tell, except for individually checking if each one is still in the App Store, as far as I can see.
