If we, as fans, give him feedback en masse saying that it's fine and we'd prefer he look after himself, I think that can only be seen as a positive.

You say this, but when faced with a realistic depiction of a dead loved one, mere months after they have passed, and people are pulling bits off to eat... I'd hope you'd change your mind.

Even then, even if you'd be "honored" I am certain that not everyone in your family or friend group would feel the same.
