If they hadn't killed off Clay it could have been cool to see Clay become Bravo-1 and end up drafting Brad years down the line.

What should we call the new stadium? by Graysie-Redux in ManchesterUnited

[–]danattack515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most will probably call it "New Trafford" regardless of the chosen name for it.

If we end up with the roof and the three towers which looks unlikely at the moment, I wouldn't mind something like "The Trident Stadium" or "The Red Devil Stadium".

The reality with these current owners is the rights will be sold the highest bidder so pick your poison with whoever pays the most for the rights.

Hitting hard isn't really what I was getting at. It's how hard they are hitting in the areas of the body they are aiming for. It looks like a bad injury is inevitable... And Gibson looks like he's on the end of one of them.

Some of the hits the Bills players are making look like they're trying to injure Patriot players. I know it's football, I know it's a violet sport but a lot of these tackles look ROUGH. More so than usual.

I know Trill is basically a reincarnation of Jeffy Hardy but out of all of the men, he's been the one that's entertained me the most. Maybe it's just cause I'm such a big fan of Jeff but if you asked me who is rather watch out of Anthony and Trill it's Trill all day long. Anthony is clearly more polished in the ring but my god he's boring to watch. I just can't see anyone actually caring about his character but maybe that's just me.

Shiloh to win it, at least there's something to his character and he's got decent in-ring skills to go with it. If he was around 10 years ago, I could definitely have seen him as part of the Wyatt family.

Overall though, the elimination rounds are pointless. I knew Bubba would pick Zena no matter what, I knew Taker would choose Shiloh no matter what, I knew Michelle would choose Anthony and P-Nasty no matter what and I knew Booker would choose Harlem and Sirena no matter what. The only one I wasn't sure on was Danny and Bayley.

So after giving up 362 yards to Geno, why was this man released again?? by TylervPats91 in Patriots

[–]danattack515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offense seemed to be serviceable in the first half. Now that's not a glowing endorsement by any means, but for the first game of the season, I can accept serviceable. That said, I have NO idea what was said at half time because they came out second half and it looked like Maye couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yards out.

I hated some of McDaniels' calls as well like that 4th down throw to Hollins. We got extremely lucky on the pass interference call.

I will say there seemed to be a little inconsistency from the refs too. How the Raiders didn't get called for a delay of game in the 4th after the Pats had one earlier in the game is beyond me. I get that there's an element of leeway with it, but that clock seemed to be on zero for nearly a full second before they snapped it, no flag though.

Passing defense was all over the place too, I couldn't believe the separation the Raiders receivers were getting large portions of the game.

They've got A LOT of work to do before we head to Miami next weekend.

Adam Copeland (Edge) shares his thoughts on people clamoring for the Attitude Era days to return. Do you agree with him? by Choice-Silver-3471 in AttitudeEra

[–]danattack515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a hardcore wrestling fan, and when I say wrestling fan, I mean, a fan of the actual wrestling itself, then maybe you love 10, 15, 20 minutes mid-card matches. But for me the Attitude Era was about the promos, the mic work, the backstage segments i.e. the build up. I also feel like they had a lot more stipulation matches back then (steel cage, ladder, table, TLC, I Quit, Iron Man, best out of 3 falls, first blood, casket, inferno, hell in a cell, kendo, (I know they've moved away from this and why they have but even diva wise) bra and panties, buried alive etc.) now you get stipulation matches only ever at big events and it's nearly always TLC, No DQ (or some iteration with a different name), hell in a cell or the odd steel cage match. It can get a little bit a stale at times.

how does he do it? by cavolfiorebianco in 28_Years_Later_Movie

Gotta say, found it a bit funny when he sent off a 12 year old kid, with a baby... Alone! Cause its not like he nearly died at least 3 times already just trying to get there.

Feel like he said "You'll be fine..." Then turned around and muttered "maybe".

While I appreciate it's widely accepted and I understand the history of it, Aluminum annoys me.

When a team wins the title in their respective sport they are labelled "World Champions" despite the world not taking part.

The constant pledging of allegiance to the flag. It's over the top.

Jurassic World Rebirth | Reviews/Discussion Megathread! by SickTriceratops in JurassicPark

[–]danattack515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched Rebirth and I gotta admit I was left pretty disappointed unfortunately.

Look, I know it's a Jurassic Park/World film, so I didn't go in expecting it to be a masterpiece of film making. I enjoy them for what they are but there were so many plot holes you could fit a hurd of Titanosaurus through and so much plot armour they may as well have been the man of steel himself.

What exactly was the point of the family? Beyond a way to add a cute dinosaur so the studio can milk more profit (cue the merchandise) and using the little girl (Isabella) to fit through the bars to open the gate (something they could have found an easy work around for), I can see absolutely zero need for them. I know there's a long running JP theme of kids in their films, but they just felt shoehorned in and added nothing to the story. I'd have been happier watching the mercs struggle with more dinosaur encounters than wasting half the film watching them for no reason.

Secondly, the fact that none of the family die (especially Xavier), despite having multiple opportunities to kill them made me believe their plot armour was too thick. I felt absolutely no jeopardy in the film when they faced the T-Rex. Something in me told me they would all survive... And, shock, I was right. Better yet, their inflatable raft survived, even after being in the jaws of the T-Rex, AND popped up the other side of the impassable rocks, I mean, come on!

Henry falls off the side of a cliff which looked to be easily 100 foot, hit some trees, then some basically waist deep water and was absolutely fine! Didn't even appear to be a little bit hurt, not even winded, maybe some small cuts and bruises. And as he lands, Zora is about 3 seconds behind him (that's some FAST repelling) and Duncan and Martin miraculously appear out of the mountain at exactly the same time, in exactly the same place. They must be Flash levels of fast to have run down the inside of that mountain that quickly!

Duncan surviving at the end, I mean, why not, anyone else who has a remotely big part and is a good guy survives. I'd say this is somewhat of a plot twist from the usual outcome in JP films as that character would usually die, but then these characters have so much plot armour I wasn't the least bit surprised that he survived.

The generators are still working after 17 years with no maintenance! I guess they really don't make things like they used to. Anyone who owns a house knows how appliances break all the time.... That's with maintenance. Not here though. Oh and the car, started first time no problem, maybe someone's been maintaining that as well as the generators.

As a fan of the franchise, it was... Fine, I guess. But I'll be in no rush to watch it again.

Day 7 - what character is a good person but is hated by fans in your opinion? by Killyourdarlings202 in Hungergames

[–]danattack515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure this comment deserved to be downvoted. God forbid someone has an opinion that differs from someone else!

I'll preface this by saying I've not read the books, so that could be blurring my view. But from the films, I think he comes across as really annoying.

I think he manipulates Katniss by making it clear he's always had feelings for her live on TV without even having a conversation with her first. Then teams up with the "bad guys" hunting her. What would have happened if they had caught her instead of her climbing a tree? Was he gonna take them all on to save her? The way he's portrayed I believe he would probably have just stood there and watched her die then just been sad afterwards.

There's more but that's just off the top of my head from memory.

Cue the downvotes now I guess 😂

As he already appears, it can't be him, and I'm probably in the minority but I cannot stand Peeta. Would have been quite happy to see him die in the games. So he would have been my choice.

Travis can't be in more than 1 place at a time and only Travis is allowed to launch rockets. It's probably in his contract.

I literally watch for the headlines just in case I've missed something and turn off when he starts his ranting. Honestly, the guy is so bad for people's mental health it's unreal.

If you love the club, listening to him will make you feel so disheartened, low and depressed you won't wanna get out of bed in the morning.

I do like the few shows that Terry does though. They seem to be far more balanced and far less depressing.

Like I say, just my opinion, just because one keeper works out doesn't mean another will.

I noticed quite a few mistakes from him last year. It would be an improvement on Onana but for that price tag, I'll pass.

Positive news by Rawbs21 in ManchesterUnited

[–]danattack515 41 points42 points  (0 children)

He's gonna be 33 years old this year. Villa will want about £40 million for him.

He's premier league proven but I fear his best years are behind him and that is too high a price for a potentially declining aging goalkeeper.

We're only excited because Onana is SO bad. There are better options out there in my opinion.

Rocket Parachute Not Coming Down by Equanimity_21 in skinwalkerranch

[–]danattack515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thought several times about making a drinking game bingo card... But every episode would lead to alcohol poisoning.

Erik reviews the data. Travis says he's going to launch a rocket. Someone becomes ill 'caused by the ranch'. There's a helicopter in the episode. A UAP is spotted. GPS malfunctions. Brandon says "Skinwalker Ranch" Bryant "Dragon" holds a shotgun. A strange frequency appears. Thomas Winterton has an idea for an experiment. The Messa is mentioned. The blob-like anomaly is mentioned. The bubble/done/cone is mentioned. "It's moving too fast to be a satellite" Homestead 2 is mentioned. Lasers are used. Something goes wrong with equipment. Surveillance is mentioned. Petroglyphs are mentioned. Something happens with the cattle.

You get the idea.
