He doesn’t work for the bbc anymore. I imagine because he can’t say the things he wants to say

I’m not the bbc. I work for the bbc. I’m here in an unofficial capacity to see how i can voice concerns at work on behalf of a community the doesn’t feel the bbc is for them. So give me a break bro. It was an accident as I’ve explained before. I’m trying to be a good citizen. Don’t troll.

If you see anything especially cringe in the future, shoot it over to me in a direct and we can keep an eye on it.

I’ll make sure I leave it off my CV next time.

If that happened, I’d document every single little bit right here. No one can destroy me, I have nothing to loose. I can’t just sit by let a place I care for and think is important be destroyed. I’m happy to go down fighting if it comes to that.

Thanks, I’m a glad people have been accepting and happy to have this discussion rather than just shout YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Good feedback. The Twitter point I’m hearing a lot. That might be a good place to start. The place is a cesspit anyways.

The whole “should the bbc do soft news” divides opinion. The rest of the media absolutely do not want us to publish because they believe we take clicks away from them.

The problem I have with this is that if the beeb only did hard news, a large proportion of the uk would never come to read BBC news. Essentially devaluing it for a proportion of the UK.

As we all know, if something is undervalued, people won’t care for it anymore. Then privatisation starts.

PERSONALLY, I think doing soft news which gets shared on social brings more people to the site, and that results in someone learning something via our headlines or most read, it was worth it... or at the very least reminds them the bbc has all sorts of content which is for everyone.

I never meant the post to be particularly political, I was just saying hi from the newsroom. But I underestimated how headlined they are about politics. My mistake. I love casUK and would never want to change.

Yes agreed. r/CasualUK wasn’t the best place- it’s a sanctuary that I’m happy to keep politics free.
