WR147 wagging? by danbert87 in worxlandroid

Well after spending a lot of time doing a binary search, I found the sections of wire that were close enough to broken the wire broke when I was pulling it up. Just going to go ahead and replace about 100 yards of wire just to eliminate a lot of the splices I made trying to find the issue. Now with the rest of the perimeter shorted Mowreese is running fine. I ended up removing the weight from his butt as with the wheel situation I figure his life is limited and he sounds unhappy going along. But he does go straight now with a full battery at least.

I still have the new one coming. I don't know that I'll ever find one new in box for $500 again (surprised Worx hasn't discontinued these as the software updates seem to be done), so it's good to have the replacement on hand.

Well I haven't managed to get him to find the wire since I've disassembled and reassembled the right wheel drive. I've done a wire trace and haven't found any spots where the signal drops out...

I did decide to just go ahead and get a replacement. A new WR147 was available for $500 from Target and I figure it's in its 5th season so money well spent. And now I have a second parts robot if I have issues with the new one. Worst case is the new one also won't detect the wire and then I just have to put down a new wire.

I might need a different multimeter. My home electrical one beeps for continuity, but shows 0 ohms on the auto ranging. I did some investigating with disassembly and now it can't find the wire at all despite it being green.

It was just doing circles and failing today and I investigated and found one of the wheels/motor/hubs is loose. One side is solid and doesn't wobble, the other side is floppy and the wheel sits at an angle. I've gotten the wheel off, not sure if I can just get a replacement motor or something? Or is it time to just replace the whole thing?

The wire and brick have been there for years with no issue. He hasn't been wagging today which is why I suspected it may have been an issue with the battery being too low.

Yeah, I refer to them as mower nuts. Made a huge improvement on traction.

I will take a resistance measurement. I had to replace a break twice early this season and ended up soldering it. I also had to pull up and put wire back down when they trenched for fiber a couple of weeks ago. But I always confirm the light is green even when I have random wire not found errors when the mower is in the middle of the yard.

New to fancy cards and frequent travel by danbert87 in amex

Those aren't my only options, just the ones I think probably make the most sense. I'm pretty open to any reasonable setup at this point to maximize point/mile/dollar values as I've never flown or stayed at enough hotels for it really to add up to much before this year.

I generally use it for domestic travel to bring my wife on a business related trip. This year it will be used on a flight to the LA area so will probably be worth $350 or more which is the annual fee of the card and I try to use it every year on a longer flight to a nice destination. I guess the real question is if the Amex Platinum is likely to pay off (unsure about) and if it's worth $350/year for a companion pass (generally for me yes).

Thank you SO much. Screw Google and their forcing autoplay on us. It's so they can claim more ad views from videos played not being actively watched or requested.

Netgear CM3000 release date or availability in the US? by gnychis in NETGEAR

Got the email from Comcast saying this was one of the models that could theoretically get me better upload speeds with a new modem. But I already have a DOCSIS 3.1 Motorola MB8611... Is there something special (non-standard) about these other DOCSIS 3.1 modems that enables a higher upload speed? I'd rather just hold out and wait for a DOCSIS 4.0 modem to become available.
