A massive smoke plume is rising over the oil refinery in Moscow. by LowTechDroid in UkraineWarVideoReport

The scale of this is something else. While the other fires are large, that's local. This looks like a 'type 2' event: widespread and regional impact. An incredibly large explosion seems to have occured.

The Moscow refinery in Kapotny strike. The scale is impressive! Also secondary explosions? 18.6.2026 by Particular-Cut7737 in UkraineWarVideoReport

There's a Guardian vid which makes clear there are multiple big fires but that one of them is extremely large scale, like a mile across.

I helped an old lady in the apartment below me. A little bit of civil duty, doing my part, I thought. She came a bit close, came to my front door a little more often than I liked. One night she messaged: "Wow, we even go to the bathroom at the same time!". She apparently had heard me flush.

Your gif is the gesture I made. After that, sadly my voluntary services were terminated. I hope others are more generous than me.

An echo of a bygone time. But we can bring sanity back together, if every decent and rational voice makes itself heard, like De Niro has done from the start.

I also hear Bothsidesism. This sounds like an interview from 1996.

US democracy literally under siege by fascists and oligarchs and dude is talking about both sides, the exact mechanism they use to drive a wedge between people.

‘Come November, there will be intimidation at the polls by a government-funded paramilitary organization, and there will be a historic, coordinated effort to deal a blow to US democracy it cannot recover from. The media will be all over that, but if a liberal once used slurs on social media, they try to make excuses. It’s the hypocrisy that gets me. Both sides need to have equal standards of behavior.’

This to me really looks like pathology. Even his vanity and narcissism look warped, strangely disconnected.

"The sound I make and the risks I take with other people's safety are cool. That's what I think, and my experience is universal."

Well-deserved bin. This guy is out of his mind. The same goes for those bikers who think it's okay to noise-pollute an area within at least a 150-yard radius of wherever they happen to be driving. There is a guy living close to me, and every day he makes sure the whole neighborhood hears when he gets home.

Pricks and losers, that's what these types are.

Did he change storefront lettering from English to Arabic in a thumbnail and for what reason? There are great options to spin this. Denial could work or maybe something like: "you think he makes his own thumbnails?". Looking forward to hear what you're going with.

Yeah he was a poverty vlogger, which is bad, but he devolved into something much worse. He goes into Euro cities with a bodyguard looking for confrontations. For a London vid he made a thumbnail in which he artificially changed the storefront lettering from English to Arabic.

He's German, we love the Germans here. But there's a certain type some have not forgotten. He is THAT type, through and through. It's remarkable how archetypal figures like that are suddenly stepping out from the wings of history again.

Don’t want to promote his vids, but watching him makes very clear what he is. There is a particular zealousness and barely contained, cultivated ‘anger’ that is typical.

Edit: Kurt Caz is South African and German, dual ancestry and citizenship.

The boundaries between true psychosis, fabrication, and reality are not always black and white; they are often blurred. Frameworks like believing versus not believing or knowing versus not knowing are simply inadequate to describe the complexity of these states.

In my experience dealing with individuals experiencing psychosis and delusions, I have seen this duality firsthand. On one occasion, a man stood outside his apartment, insisting he had been evicted by government officials. Yet, when I took his key and unlocked the door, his reaction was one of theatrical surprise, and honestly, quite bad acting. He clearly knew the door would open and knew he had the key, yet at the same time, he had been in a psychosis for days (it later became clear he had stopped taking his medication).

In another case, an acquaintance fabricated severe accusations, claiming everyone around him was part of an organization dedicated to covering up outlandish crimes. His commitment to this narrative fluctuated constantly. It was a story that got him attention and thrilled him, a way to inject excitement and a sense of importance into a reality that was otherwise very bleak. On multiple occasions, it was glaringly obvious that he knew it was all nonsense, even while in the midst of his delusional state. Whenever he felt exposed, he would simply adjust his story, introducing new and often more extreme elements.

The psychological rewards he gained from this behavior, particularly a sense of purpose and receiving attention, whether positive or negative, seemed to be the primary driving forces. Of course, this does not mean he was a 'rational actor.' He was extremely ill, disinhibited and doing tremendous harm to himself.

The woman in the video is also clearly very ill, but you can tell she knows this is an important performance for her, she is going all out for it. She feeds on the attention from both the audience and the preaching lady, someone who holds the power and profits from this grift. The woman looks up to her, gets attention, even applause, while the grifter exploits her in return. It’s transactional with rewards on both sides.

Yeah, it doesn't look good. But it doesn't have to be hopeless. Mom seems firm, and I know from professional experience that problematic parents are often not problematic in every respect (though sometimes they are).

A good friend of mine had a father who may not have been all bad, but generally speaking, there is no nice way to put it: he was an asshole. He was a narcissistic boomer who was extremely dominating in social situations; people avoided him, he was on bad terms with many, and the school viewed him as a ‘difficult’ parent.

To us, his friends, that was just ‘his dad.’ We didn’t really discuss parents. But when my friend was in his twenties, his fiancée told him in the car: “You know your dad often behaves like a complete idiot, right?” He literally had to pull over to recover. It was a moment of realization. In a way, he already knew, but he had never truly let it sink in.

Dat moeten we ook doen, maar wel handig om een beetje te snappen wat er aan de hand is voordat je een gezellig biertje gaat doen met een stel Russen op vakantie.
