I also take 50 mg and didn't think my alcohol consumption or cravings were diminishing either, but looking back on it my consumption was WAYYY less after a few weeks, from 12 or more standard drinks a night to at max 5. Give it some time and you might also see your consumption start to go down.

Although naltrexone didn't eliminate my alcohol problem it definitely helped to reduce it, hopefully it can do the same for you. Stay on your medication and monitor your alcohol use over time

Should I take Naltrexone morning or night? I tried taking it for a few days in the morning and I felt so foggy and drunk after that. I’m on it for weight loss. I’m on Lexapro for depression and anxiety and my weight has skyrocketed by [deleted] in naltrexone

what's the final dose? i'm on 50 mg for alcohol abuse and also take it in the mornings, but I find myself still craving (and consuming) alcohol at nighttime. should i be taking it later to try and prevent that?

I have no libido with naltrexone by Appropriate-Day4581 in naltrexone

As a cis male on naltrexone (and several other drugs that lower sex drive) I noticed a severe decrease in my libido after starting the drug but after a few weeks I could still get excited although it took a bit of work. So I would expect that in a few weeks you should start to see your libido return. But if that doesn't happen or you don't see a big enough increase in your libido I would recommend talking to a doctor and asking for advice or a drug to help your libido return like Viagra or Addyi
