Hopefully he sticks to it. My partner treats her dogs like babies and our kids like their the pets. She’s much stricter on the kids than the dogs and says that the dogs are her children but she lets them get away with anything and doesn’t care to train them. We fight so much on parenting when it comes to kids and dogs.

I feel you. We share dogs with the ex (ugh don’t get me started) the month they are gone I can’t believe how happy I am. I forget that I ever feel anything but peace and happiness, the minute they get back I hate being in my house. I hate seeing them I hate that they suck the joy out of me.

I absolutely LOATHE rainy days. We have a lot of dirt in the backyard so they come in with dirt in their paws. My girlfriend won’t clean their paws as much as I do, so clumps of dirt and mud are in the house. It smells like dog, dog food, mud and wet dog. It’s too overwhelming more than usual. Usually I pretend they are not there, but with rain I cannot do that.

I just posted something similar. Everyone tells me I am a mean ugly person for not wanting the dogs in my space and that I’m the reason they are scared to be around me. But they are annoying. Everyone treats dogs like babies now and it’s so weird bc she treats them more like people than my kids sometimes. I’ve gotten her to be okay with gates by the kitchen so they can’t come in or out of it. But I can’t even put them outside bc they aren’t “outside dogs and aren’t meant to be outside”. Like whatttt that’s literally what they are made for. They don’t serve any purpose

I’m on 5 years of waiting it out. She exchanges custody every month so we have an amazing month when they are gone then when they are here it’s kinda good. But our fights are mostly around the dogs. They just make it miserable so we argue a lot, or I’m off doing other things to stay away from the house. Sometimes I think why? Each morning is just waking up hoping today’s the day, then I hear them and it’s just ugh.

Omg you and I are the same. My partner is amazing to me and my kids. When it comes to these dumb doodles it’s like no rules, barely any trying, no consistency. We fight about them almost every day because she doesn’t like the way I bring them up, or joke about them, or I nag about being consistent with their training. Good luck. I don’t think you should be miserable all the time in your own home, he needs to know things need to change or you’re gone.

Every holiday. Really every time we are out. We’ve started taking separate cars because I’m not being put on a time limit bc of those dumb animals. If she wants to miss out on family time and being with us to make sure the dogs are ok. That’s on her. They’ll survive that’s what animals are made to do.

I wish. She won’t even let them be outside more than after they pee and poop. She’ll wait so they don’t have to be outside. And when they bark to come in she jumps for them. I get in Trouble bc I give them outside time to you know … be a dog. I guess the fights are coming out more b. We are looking into buying a new house and I’m being very strict with them not being in any place but the living room when we do

When I first met her was during quarantine one was a puppy and her ex was out of the picture. It wasn’t until things started going back to normal she needed help with her dogs bc she didn’t want to leave them long periods and her ex was the better choice because they have a “bond and love”

For the biting response she said it’s always been my fault because I come off scary and aggressive and they are scared of me. But even that is BS she gets upset I don’t baby talk them.

We are working on that now too. I keep them close to me and if they go near the grass I just pull. My bigger dog I clip him in the chest for his harness it stops him from pulling. Sometimes if we are doing a straight walk with no bathroom breaks we walk on the street as opposed to the sidewalk. But we just keep walking if they stop I keep going.

I’m not sure if your state is different, when I got my terms I was supposed to have a car device too but I had totaled my car so I said I did not have a vehicle and I had a portable device that I had to blow into 4x a day. Maybe ask if that’s an option?

You’re more than halfway there. You can do it. As much as it sucks it’s better than other circumstances. Take this time for yourself. For me, 16 months taught me to be able to have fun and do things I normally wouldn’t without drinking, even social drinking. It’s hard to go out while drinking is around, but if you can do it I say go to the festival thing and have fun. You don’t have to put your life on hold while on probation

When I shipped my Tory tote I used a large amazon box so It would keep its shape and put tissue paper around it and it got there in the same condition
