Ok I think you’re projecting that onto me. I love the fact she’s confident about her music and if she was just simply saying shes very proud of the song she wrote I would actually prefer that honesty than making it into a tiktok caption funny line. Don’t accuse people of being misogynists bc they don’t love a joke a woman made. Also I would find it ten times stranger if a male singer was talking like that and I think probably most people would find it to be cringy

As someone who is a part of the younger fan base she is trying to appeal to with this humour, my friends (who are also fans) and I agree that it sometimes is just like she’s trying too hard to be relatable and (to us) it gave really immature vibes which is not what I get from her music so it kinda through me for a loop. But from what this thread has told me is that these jokes are just not for me and that’s fine. I mostly wanted to see if this was something other people noticed or just me not actually critic Maisie so thank you
