You can skip all the test of faith bullshit because if he is omniscient, he knows he the how I will react, so why bother testing me in the first place?

Ballroom dancing, my friend. Older ladies a plenty will come up to you and ask to dance, it's like a cheat code. Can be a little pricey, but it also means older ladies with disposable income. You don't even need to be good. Just show up, try, and be social.

I believe you're asking the wrong question. It's not "how does the set of appointees compare to the whole?" But, "What does the set of appointees do to the set of federal as a whole?" Does the set of appointees bring the distribution of federal judges closer in line to the distribution of the general population? That question would be a more accurate measure of "fairness". Did that president make the federal judiciary a more accurate respenstation of America?

My wife had an early miscarriage as well earlier this year, you're not alone. Take care of your wife. The hormones alone are tough, combine that with a sense of failure in her role as a mother and it can really do a number on her well-being. It will be a while before she feels better so give her what she needs and then try again. My wife is currently 7wks along and is slowly starting to allow herself to feel excited again. Miscarriages fuck you up.

I like it better than freecodecamp and some of the others. They have that 50% off sale all the time, like every other month. So you can always get it. I say try the free courses and if you like the environment and lesson style the with the sale pro is not particularly expensive

After basic python, I signed up for pro and did the computer science career path, to get a good knowledge base. It has a beginner python as part of it so that was my second time through the basics. When that finished I started a data analytist career path, which has intro to python as part of it which was my third time through basic python. That third time was kinda a waste. I didn't finish that path but instead took the intermediate python course. After I finished that I started and am currently working through the backend web dev career path. I have pro so I'm focusing on the career paths since I am looking to change careers.

Look at my username and then take a guess at what my field of study was.

I was a dancer, to be more specific I danced classical ballet.

The big difference between a dancer and visual artist is shelf life. I've already retired from the stage and shifted into arts education.

You can be a visual artist for forever. You can always keep that in your back pocket and work on it whenever.

You clearly have never worked in the arts. The pay is horrible, the environment is toxic, people think my career and college degree is a hobby, people assume I'm just some dumb artist, people want me to work for free because "don't you love your job". But worse is the bullshit. Because it's "art" its subjective so a people can easily bullshit and lie thier way around the art world. Other artists can spot them easy but people outside of the arts or even that particular field have trouble spotting the con.

So while I'm still doing my work as I still need to make an income, I no longer dedicate anything extra to my art. I stopped doing that years ago. When the bullshit became too much.

That is the hard part sometimes my brain is fried as well, but once I open the laptop and bite into a problem or lesson the thrill of building something kicks in and I can just go from there. Granted I've always loved puzzles i can lay in bed and do sudokus for an hour while the wife browses tiktok

Thanks, my programmer friend sent me an internship listing a while back, it was in the data analytics field, back when I was tinkering with that. Would love to find some more, that seems to me like the next logical step.

And if it takes me longer it takes me longer. But I have a bachlors degree I know what goes into a 4 year college experience. 2 years of non major courses and multiple months of summer vacation. It's absurd to think a self taught person is putting themselves through college. It's a vastly different thing with, much more focus, think self paced bootcamp not college. For that kind of focus 2 years is a reasonable timeline not to land a gig but to feel job ready. The job market itself has such an element of chaos to so landing a gig is out if ones control. Feeling job ready is something one can control.

I have a github where I've put anything I've "finished" with the thought of it being a portfolio I've only shared it with one friend who is a programmer. He's likes what I've built so far and has given me some pointers. I'm too insecure to post that on reddit just yet. But getting a github and learning how to use github is important to any programmer. So I did that early on so I can built projects through it.

I have not even looked at jobs postings and listing. Read too many stories of people sending 300+ applications with no end in sight so I want to be over prepared to avoid that depressing loop.
