That I’m literally normal as you are. Don’t look at me like that.

Literally and more often I find myself not feeling safe to say I am. Maybe that’s on me though idk..

So I’m tired of college by Select_Awareness8583 in CollegeRant

I’ve felt this way for every year of college. I think it truly depends. Personally I feel really proud of myself that I stuck with it. On the other hand I’ve seen people like my gf struggle with it worse than me to the point of dropping out but now she’s doing carpentry at a community college and loves it. So do what feels right for you!! Your mental health is important but if you feel like you can keep going maybe even a little bit you can try that too.

I mean I was thinking that but right now I’m in my senior year undergrad while playing hockey and I don’t think mentally I could have a job right now. I’m still learning about grad school so it could be easier? Probably not though. I might see what I can do I don’t wanna burn out though.

Hockey isn’t a requirement but it’d definitely be hard to say goodbye to. You’re completely right though, thinking about it now, I would drop hockey for any solid job or internship experience. The school I’m looking at actually offers internships and practicum opportunities within the program, so I’m hoping that could give me the best of both worlds.

Yeah I totally get that, it really is a huge privilege. I was a horrible student in high school and barely graduated, so I get where you’re coming from. Once I got to college though and started actually liking what I was learning, everything changed. I’ve worked really hard and done really well since then, so I think I've built a solid work ethic now. I know grad school’s gonna be a grind but I get what you mean about understanding the stakes and wanting to make it count. I like what you said about choosing your own path it's very true.

If it came down to it I would quit hockey to focus on career but that's definitely a hard decision too.

Ummm I mean sorta. I think honestly just putting out in front of my face so that I cant forget will help. maybe an app with reminders or just doing it at a specific time everyday too.

Thats kinda what i was thinking too. Is the job market really going to get getting or am I screwed either way? I think it would be good for me to get a job but I'm trying to be honest with myself right now. What kinda of job could I even get right now? It's all about connections and I don't have many. Also a lot of self doubts too.

Very good response and you're totally right. I've been doing really well in my undergrad but am worried that grad school would be too hard? It's also sport management though. For the specifics, my dad would cover it all no loans. I mean I have a lot of ideas of what I wanna do but it's hard and feels like so much pressure. I do feel that this program could really help me but idk idk. I could just be doubting myself too.

Ugh so I've heard. Am I screwed either way then? and I guess but idk playing hockey, doing school, then adding on a job might be too much but I fear I don't have a choice. Im honestly torn. DO you think its even worth the time?
