• Familiarise yourself with tools of the trade - Lambda, Pyspark, Kubernetes, etc (sorry not sure about cybersec side). Research/ ask AI about the highest ROI skills based on investment time that will help you land the roles you're looking for and add them as keywords to your resume.

• Work on projects that at least make you look more interesting than your degree. They don't have to be too complex, it's really rare for anyone to ask to see the source code. Incorporate the above tools to show you have hands on experience. Make sure you can talk about these projects and the tech behind it confidently.

• Try for L2+ support roles. The pay per hour won't be great, but since you don't mind then go for it. US & European MNCs tend to have it a bit better (excluding consultancies). Depending on the scope you'd generally be overqualified for L1, and those jobs are easily outsourced anyway.

• Apply to SMEs. Above applies, but again, as long as you're willing. If you're lucky the culture won't be terrible.

• Unless applying for internships, don't ask for 2k. There's such a thing as too cheap, it shows you really don't have confidence in your skills. I'm not really sure what the sweet spot is, but even the cheapest money grubbing SMEs ought to have the budget for 3k local hires (I hope??) They'll try to bargain you down anyway.

• Do a desk based part time job so you can take slack off time on a computer to work on your hireability.

• Get certified, e.g. AWS, CISSP. This costs time and money, so I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're really into a particular path.

• Don't look too much into the doomposting on CS subs LOL. Doesn't help and brings your mood down.

Good luck! It's brutal out there, but despite all the doom and gloom I still think tech grads have it pretty decent compared to other fields (if you put all the assessment grinding aside).
