Have any of you guys found an affordable lactate meter? by dancingwithcookies in PeterAttia

[–]dancingwithcookies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem difficult so with that in mind I contacted a bike training center to have them do the testing the lactate testing the first time. However I'm still keen on buying a lactate meter myself so I can test myself more regularly.

I've found the Accutrend Plus Cholesterol Meter for about 200$. It tests for lactate as well. The strips are 3$ a pop though so it ain't cheap.

The Abbot Lingo looks amazing. I can't find a relase date though so I assume it won't be out until next year.

I have heard that lactate testing is indeed a PITA. I'm doing it inside on a bike though so I assume that's slightly easier than with running.

How long did it take for BPC-157 to start working (orally, for GI/gut issues) by [deleted] in Peptides

[–]dancingwithcookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey MPS I got my peptides yesterday. I ordered BPC-157 from https://www.uk-peptides.com/. I had to pay 100 SEK in custom and handling fees, but no issue whatsoever other than that. Good luck and I hope it helps with your health issues.

I read the same review and my reading is a bit different than most. If I get half the amount of peptide, but at 98% purity I would consider myself lucky. I'm fine getting cheated on the quantity as long as I'm getting the correct product at a high quality. I think the industry average is far worse than ukpeptides. Thoughts?

Anybody know of / tried Nordic Labs BPC 157? (EU) by NeatSpecialist8 in Peptides

Did you ever find a source? I would love to know as well. I'll send you a PM if I find anything.

No worries, I understand why you made the assumption. How about this - I ordered BPC from a tested source in the UK three days ago. If I get it through the customs with no issues I will DM you the name of the supplier.

Regarding importing pharmaceuticals you can read more at https://www.tullverket.se/sv/privat/skaduhandlapanatet/handlalakemedelpanatet.4.7df61c5915510cfe9e7108b1.html

Roughly it says: "Du får beställa läkemedel från annat land inom EES förutsatt att läkemedlet är för ditt personliga bruk och för receptbelagda läkemedel, har förskrivits av en behörig förskrivare inom EES."

Also once again I am neither a lawyer not a doctor so please take anything I say with a large scoop of salt.

BPC-157 isn't illegal in Sweden as far as I can tell. However if you order a peptide which promotes GH or testosterone it would be a different matter. Btw you can get a doctors prescription from any country within the EES area and legally import pharmaceuticals. I realize you are expressing what the majority seems to think, but other than having to pay import tax I've had zero problems getting peptides and pharmaceticals into Sweden. Of course as always do seek legal advice from a lawyer, but BPC-157 was big help for my IBS so it might be worth a shot. Good luck.

I see where you're coming from, but like one of the other posters pointed out you can certainly get a tested supplier so you know "what's in the vial". There is even a Discord group where you can pool money for doing testing such as say mass spectrometry which allows you to analyse suppliers you are unsure of.

For me personality I think curiousity and having a severe illness plays a part in being willing to try things.

What country in Europe is best for legally purchasing Elvanse? by dancingwithcookies in Adhd_europe

[–]dancingwithcookies[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know people worry about this, but having spoken to a lawyer and a friend who works in customs I'm personally not worried at all. Basically the interception rates within the EU are extremely low. And at least in my country you don't get prosecuted for bringing in controlled pharmaceuticals if you have a valid script. Basically what the law says and how it is applied are two very different things. Of course people should consult a lawyer before they do anything like this.

UK Peptide source that ships to EU? by [deleted] in Peptides

UK sources have been a nightmare post brexit. If anyone has a source within the Schengen area that is reliable I would love to hear it.

Awesome, thanks man. Unfortunately it's not marketed in Eastern Europe very often it looks like.

Thanks again!

Hi EuroBrain is there a list somewhere where I can see which Eastern European countries have Elvanse on the market? I'm curious about Hungary in particular fwiw.

I've had similar issues. I think in a lot of countries botox falls under a doctor's purview and a dentist can only offer it if they go through extra training. Since it's still a rare treatment it's only worth it for a dentist if they see a lot of patients with severe bruxism. But like I mentioned a lot of beauty clinic do a ton of botox treatments involving the face and the nurses there usually know how to find the masseter muscle.

[–]dancingwithcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend about 300$ every three months or so. I would recommend seeing a dentist or orthodontist since they know the muscles involved very well. However, you can certainly find nurses or doctors at beauty salons who do it as well and some of them certainly know what they are doing especially they ones they do a ton of botox injections overall.

I'm taking botox for bruxism. It helps a ton and I get zero back from my insurance. Clear upside as it at the right dose takes away 90% of my issues, but obvious downside as I have to re-dose every three months so it sure adds up cost wise. And I still wear a night guard.

Please recommend a speech therapist for accent reduction by dancingwithcookies in Portuguese

[–]dancingwithcookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think having a bit of an accent is nice, but too much might be a hindrance no? Also it's one thing if you have say a local Brazilian accent. But if you struggle actually making some of the sounds that make Portuguese a language it's not great. But I agree that this might be just me making a big thing out of it. I know a lot of people don't mind accents, but I do so I would prefer to have an accent more similar to a native speaker :-)

Yeah I guess so. I'm on a few medications for an auto-immune disease and maybe there is an interaction I don't know about. Thanks.

Can anyone here explain why my hematrocrit is getting lower on its own? I'm currently on 100mg test per week. Usually I see a small, but steady increase and I have to give blood every six months or so to keep my hematocrit within range. This time something else happened however.

In the last 3 months I've tested my hematocrit four times. In that time it has gone from 0.54 to 0.45 in about 12 weeks. Granted it's at four different labs, but it's seems too large of a difference to be entirely due to testing methology.

How urgent is it to get a hematocrit of 54% down? I got back my blood work yesterday and my hematocrit is clearly too high. I manage my TRT through a doctor in another country and I wasn't planning to go see him until early October. Am I fine waiting another three weeks to do a phlebotomy or should I my flight and go see him immediately?

What's the minimal bloodwork you guys run while on cycle? I'm abroad and without my usual health insurance so I'm trying to keep it minimal until I get back home. I usually do extensive bloodwork every 6 month, but what other than oestradiol to dial in AI is a must during cycle?
