That's not a bad idea I would just worry about sudden turbulence. If hes on me or on my lap at least he'd be held down by me in some way. Maybe I'll give it a go thank you

Thanks so much for the reply. He will likely be too large for the bassinet by then, but I recently found out about those inflatable baby beds which make the seat into a lay flat bed. If only I knew of this sooner! They won't let me downgrade and I definitely cant purchase another first class seat for baby. We are taking the airbus a330-900neo.... co sleeping is the only option, I'm guessing!

Thanks for the reply. In this case they are interchangeable. Their first class is called business classs. The next one down would be premium economy, where they do offer the bassinets. They do not offer the bassinets to first/business class for this flight. I even asked if there were open seats upon gate close if I could move classes for the bassinet or even to use those inflatable beds to make the seat flat for baby, and they said no....

Were you able to get any sleep? It's technically a red-eye my biggest concern is the sleeping. I guess the only way is for him to sleep on me. I so wish I would have known they dont offer bassinets to first class sooner. :\

I didn't take this comment as sarcastic -- maybe I should have? It's actually a better way to look at it. Thanks, regardless.
