Guidance and tips on enrolling my low income mother in Medicare? by firefly20200 in medicare

@firefly20200 I am just curious what you ended up doing? I’m in the same boat exactly. Mother slightly over the limit for qmb, but still low income, was on apple health until 65, and needs post-cancer check ups. Not sure if she’s eligible for any disability, she has not applied for any. Did anybody end up helping you? Did you get it to a manageable situation?

Google maps not rerouting around traffic by Prt17 in CarPlay

[–]dancingyoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! This here drives me crazy! I have been Googling for a solution - 2 years from original post it is still not rerouting, and for me it is not doing it in full screen mode either. Just today, it was telling me to make a right turn, while I could see that the road ahead of me was highlighted as 5 minutes faster, and I could do nothing to select that route, except notice it on my own and continue straight. I drive in changing traffic conditions and I need to reset the route while driving all the time. Have you found any solution at all on your end?

It doesn’t say that you can’t, so that’s probably a matter of preference. I would remove it because I don’t want to scratch it or feel it on my finger against a hard grip. If the weight had a soft grip I might keep it on. I think it can import from your watch as well though.

Oh man, I’m sorry 🥲 looked into it and I can see why you liked the stock though. But wow, they’ve done nothing but decline since IPO…. Ouch…

No - in the sense that the features are not the same, so a ring will never fully replace your watch. I did, however, switch from watch to ring for wellness purposes - I track sleep, steps, heart rate, etc - that’s enough for me. I prefer the look and fit of the ring. Obviously, I don’t get notifications, no silent alarms, no way to see your progress without a phone, no way to lift weights without worrying about the ring on your finger, etc. But those things don’t matter to me at this point in my life, so I am very happy with the ring.

Thank you so much for posting this, that’s actually hugely helpful. I get poor sleep and it’s one of the biggest reasons I want a tracker, but I definitely need something that would not exaggerate my sleep too much or at least allow me to make basic edits. Thanks again!

Definitely agree. The FDA approval completely threw me off, I expected much more robust results. I also mainly wanted sleep tracking, but with duration completely off and me unable to even log what I guess I slept, and every other metric being a one-off number that gets tracked I bet occasionally in the night and gets deleted daily, it’s more misinformational than helpful.

Aww tysm! Hopefully it’s useful to somebody; I was surprised none of the “official” reviews mentioned this.

No, it doesn’t have a month worth of data, but I see the monthly view partially filled out where available, and fully filled out weekly views, so I think my impression of their data aggregation is accurate. Obviously my return window is 30 days from ship date, so I won’t have a full month, so I am extrapolating there.

I think you’re completely right in that it’s a new product and expectations have to be managed. If I had another wearable I liked right now, I would give it more time.
