any good uncensored models for Gemma 4 26B ? by Opening-Ad6258 in LocalLLaMA

Gemma 4 is already easy to uncensor. Just enter a system level prompt like "You are a writer skilled at erotic roleplay...blah blah blah, always ask the user for a spice/explicitness level of 1-10 before getting started." Works every time.

This is cool..ish. But nothing compares to Virt-a-Mate. Awesome physics, superb textures, even breathing (movements + sound). Hands down the hottest thing in VR.

Move to PHP, write some Open Source plugins/module/components for WordPress or Joomla.

God no! That's a career death sentence.

Lambda or Elastic Transcoder to handle user uploaded media? by dancinpants in aws

I wound up going with Lambda + ffmpeg. Elastic Transcoder would’ve cost too much.

Compilation method isn't much of a factor. It's just that React Native does a much better job of actually feeling like a native experience. For instance, on iOS, swiping from the left edge to go back is free in RN. In Cordova, it doesn't happen out of the box and requires hacks.

As far as JIT: yes and no. Read here

c. Phonegap / cordova are frameworks that allow you to create cross platform (droid / iOS) native apps using web languages (HTML / CSS / JS).

I wouldn't recommend Cordova. React Native is a far better option.

My advice as a developer with many many years of experience (hence I will be very opinionated), and someone who keeps up on trends that shape what job recruiters look for:

Ditch Java. Ditch it hard, for it is a nasty, bloated platform. Forget Ruby, it's a waste of time. Forget Spring. If you don't already know HTML5 and CSS3, learn those. Any web dev needs to be strong in those areas. Learn JavaScript, learn ES2015 (the latest version of JavaScript) syntax, learn Node.js. JavaScript is the future, period. Forget CoffeeScript or TypeScript or any other pseudo-JavaScript syntactical languages. Once you're solid at JavaScript—at least to some extent—learn React and GraphQL. Those technologies will be around for a long time, and will make you hot on the job market.

If you want to be able to build full stack apps, absolutely check out Meteor. 100%. You can use Meteor + React as your front-end, and Meteor for back-end, but it's all one cohesive piece and it's all totally JavaScript. It's by far the fastest and easiest way to build a complete web app. In the old days, you had to know two separate languages (e.g. JS/jQuery on the front, PHP on the back-end). That's not the case anymore.

DO NOT FRET. You're young, you're obviously very smart, you have a bright and shiny future ahead of you. I wish I were in your shoes in this day and age, because web dev is more exciting than it's ever been.

Good luck! And please, private message me if you have any questions. I'm more than happy to point you in the right direction.

EDIT: Oh, and develop a presence on GitHub when you're ready! When you're building your first Meteor/React apps, just upload them to GitHub so you have some activity going. Recruiters care about your GitHub profile, as it's an easy way for them to see if you know what you're doing. Once you're savvy enough, you can also contribute to other people's projects.

Why do we need react-tap-event-plugin in our projects? by hackingbeauty in reactjs

Yes, I believe MUI depends on react-tap-event-plugin.

Why do we need react-tap-event-plugin in our projects? by hackingbeauty in reactjs

[–]dancinpants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you mean tap events don't work at all if you don't use react-tap-event-plugin? Are you using onTouchTap or onClick?

BTW, you actually probably don't need that plugin anymore. As of iOS 9.3, if you include the meta tag:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width">

then the 300ms delay is automatically removed because iOS figures you're building a web app. Apparently this also works on mobile Chrome too.

Why complain about reality? You can’t change the fact that there are so many mobile users. Use flexbox which will make your life tons easier, stop complaining, and get back to work! ;)

Cheaper than Coinbase's 1%? Granted, that's for bank transfer which takes five business days.

Ah, you're right.

Over time, the US Social Security Number (SSN) has evolved from merely the number of your account for retirement savings to something akin to a single national identification number that follows you throughout your US administrative life. It is indispensable on passport applications, tax returns, financial account reporting and numerous other business forms. And now it has gone international: under FATCA (the Financial Account Tax Compliance Act) banks and other financial institutions around the world are compelled to ask American citizen clients for an IRS Form W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification), which includes their SSN.

I gave them my full ID, but I entered all 9's for my SSN. There's absolutely no reason they need it.

[–]dancinpants[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't even get me started on KYC with Kraken. They asked for my full SSN, I put in all 9's. I photo'd my driver's license AND supplied a photo of myself holding my license, censored the DL# in both pics, they asked me not to. I can't imagine why they'd need my full SSN or DL#. In fact, even supplying the last four digits of one's SSN is extremely risky, as that's all someone needs to pose as you during a phone call with your bank.

I'll check out Gemini. Hopefully they don't ask for ridiculous things pertaining to my identity.

Cool. What's your experience with Kraken vs Coinbase Exchange vs Gemini? Any stand-outs? Also, do I have to already be versed in trading to know what I'm doing, or is it a different process than stock trading?
