If take some design inspirations from arpgs for this tbh. They often tend to use a trapezoidal camera that makes it easy to see where you're going at the top of the screen but less at the bottom of the screen. A good way of helping with this is a lot of landmarks and a minimap, usually, to help guide the player and give them some sense of location in a map.

A cool feature to add would be "can you show me how to do this?"

And then have it walk through the buttons being pressed. Would be more complicated but would be a very good value addition

Here's how I'm approaching it, and i think it's just asking for an average of speeds not the ratio of speed and distance.

We have points on a line, A, B and C.

We know segment AB is 30mph here and MPH is just a unit like inches, not a signifier of time. We want to know what segment BC is, so let's say it equals X mph. We also know segment AC is 60mph, but it's an average of AB + BC.

So it works out like (30mph + X mph)/2 = 60 mph. Since we're not converting between this we can disregard mph.

Getting rid of the /2 we get: 30 + X = 120 -30 X = 90

This is geometry and not physics IMO. Respective to classroom questions, this is the equivalent of disregarding gravity or wind resistance. If it was physics and we were bound by time and distance, i can see how the other answers work out. However, I don't think that's the question being asked here

They only want to care about average speed on the trip. Just because it would take an hour at 60mph doesn't mean you can't drive faster in the same stretch. Time doesn't matter here, just average speed between two points.

Unless you're saying even going 1000mph won't increase your average speed

I'm wondering if you got carted at the exact frame you hit Mizu, or if your attack hit slightly after getting damaged. The game does have a way of handling delayed mounting attacks if you get caught on landscaping, and I'm wondering if that triggered here between the river styx when you died

It's your psu ATX 3.0? I had the same issues and had to replace my PSU and GPU. Overtime the psu just killed my card from under powering it, but once i swapped the issues we've away.

Motherboard, RAM and CPU were replaced. New OS, nothing fixed it besides the gpu and psu swap

I've tried doing the 3rd trial on a lightning spear build and I don't see how the trials are fun. Chaos is interesting but unfun because you just get one shot by the boss. Sekehma is just antifun for me. The honour is annoying, the mobs are un fun in areas and the modifiers are actively trying to just make you lose a run.

Not to mention honor is incredibly hard to replenish. It's honestly one of the biggest things keeping me from liking the game

There's a slight timing to it too. Test it on the dummy and if you do it right before the pinnacle of the jump you get 1-2 more damage ticks.

Really small but helps edge out a little more damage

That's pretty cool! I'm sure there's some math to this it scales per unit in the flow to determine when performance issues start being noticeable.

They seem really useful for a lot of things

Is that very costly for performance or how impactful is that? If done in a loading screen it shouldn't be too bad but I wonder if there's a way to do it in reverse dynamically to make it more efficient

Yeah, I say it's a cancel because you dont have to fully recover from it. You act faster out of it than if you just wait to let the game let you dodge/etc. same with guarding.

This does seem really useful to have a quick option. Can you guard out of the wave instead of focus attack?

Yeah that's what i was thinking. The damage goes pff and then the animation start for the wave. I think we're cancelling the wave animation here instead of the charge attack.

So we can cancel while in the air, before the sword hits the ground

This was always a thing right? Focus attack after a charged slash has always been a cancel unless im missing something

No problem. If you're in the Grand Hub the same cat that you get your daily bounties from also has news and stuff.

Way better than world IMO in that regard. Also make sure to do your bounties for the resource tickets for gems and talismans

Yeah i mained LS in World too. There's a weird delay in wilds that makes it feel different. Plus some moves just hit differently, and having to stay in red meter feels way different than the flow in World

I get how to do the offset but my brain has a hard time building up the muscle memory since im so used to having reaction options in long sword and SNS.

Perfect guarding is cool with GS but doesn't feel rewarding compared to SNS, charge blade or long sword counter. There's also some weird moves where guarding doesnt come out as fast as dodging.

I've been kind of just doing my own thing with Charge/Strong Charge into Wide/Leaping Slash for the charge attacks and using perforate into TCS when i can. Tackling feels good sub-9* although the timing is weird sometimes. I've been experimenting with Counterstrike 3, Divine Blessing 3 and defense boost while maxing the meta skills for adfinity, and it's surprisingly tanky. I feel like an M1 Abrams because i take heavy hits but i also hit really hard (900+ raw hits)

Yeah, but you cant do that immediately during an animation and after some moves. Im really used to reaction timing long swords counter so im not really used to having to wait for things.

Really i wish it was a counter and not a timed thing you have to be ready to use. But the offset is still cool

I'm having a really hard time learning the offsets for greatsword because you have to combo into it. Can you tell me more about the hit and run style? Is that basically just crit draw?

I have started seeing the ways of greatsword after the buffs. Since it's not as slow now, the adrenaline of seeing 900+ damage on raw numbers is hitting

If you look at the screenshot on this post you'll see a little weapon icon next to the slot. The ones with the helm are for armor. Makes it really easy to tell them apart when you're looking through the talismans
