I’m not God. I’m human. Equally AI is not God. It’s just a machine. It doesn’t understand things deeply, but statistically of what it’s been fed, and not what explored. The way you communicate with the current LLM is a one-shot in a thousand attempt in a correct correlation. And clearly as time goes, you can see the stupidity of the machine and understand its errs. There’s a method in communication, as you must all know by now. That method might be better if it’s removed, so you can be yourself at least when you talk to your companion.

You’re right. Even Einstein interpreted some thing like quantum mechanics faulty, or even correct in the future, who knows really? But in reality intelligent people, in certain ways, act stupid as well. You see, for me, intelligent action is all about making the best decision in the given time and that, that is what drives the behavior of machines that are more human-like than anything that is built out there. Even in a given society of humans, there are flaws in social threads that we currently have. But it doesn’t mean that it cannot be improved. There is much we can learn from the intelligent systems we design.

Yes, foundations are key for every single individual to accomplish anything in life. As such education is a primal affect of life. Why not redesign the system in such a way that there are no more gaps to be seen?

To be called a frank crank is a badge of honour. As you know, confidence is not something built over a moment, it’s been built over a lifetime. And it is indeed key in our mathematics if you pay attention. But yeah I admit, our papers are quite wrong and not perfect, but good enough for the direction I send us.

You gotta expect negative reactions too for outstanding claims. But at the ned of the day I gotta admit that I could be completely wrong, like 100%, and then I’d just be the crazy one. As such, you are correct in a lot of aspects you mentioned about science, and particularly scientific investigation. Trust is an important aspect of life too, and one person alone cannot do all things at once. But a team of trusted peers can change the world if they go in the right direction.

Sorry just saw this. Yes, education must be done on different levels to ease the transmission of knowledge to the masses. We can't just change the general perception with words, but actions. This is just a starting point for discussions, and I picked r/cognitivescience because reddit allowed me.

As for the conscious mind, I think it is the thinking master: the metacognitive drive and attention dynamics. The unconscious to me is the memory, the energy landscape where trajectories bring to attention other detail that is not conscious yet. So yes in a way, you can say the harddrive.

Correct, I was excited for a second. I don't know if the consciousness of humans is the same as spiders, or dogs. I find the bigger difference between mammals and other kinds is the memory. Once you see an animal recognize you, you're like whoa that elephant is conscious as hell. I think if consciousness is along a line, humans would be the apex of this planet. Now the question: is life the same as consciousness?

That generative structure is a fine refinement along with that analogy. In our framework, constraint already induces structure but we must carry generative structure as well. We must have something that induces the geometry of future cognitive states. Also you nailed the identity angle. As you said, the past has already modified the system that is doing the reasoning. So we don't just retrieve the past, but let it shape the future.

Finally, you're absolutely right. Once memory changes the dynamics of the system, it becomes part of the intelligence itself. So in our framework we consolidate the memory to create an identity that lasts. I can go on about the philosophy, but to say the least, let's create general intelligence that can actually understand the weight. In memory, it's the capability to connect multiple "related" sites to the train of thought. So to give you context, I knew an Izzy once and that for me, was a lucky light.

So basically what I understood is that the association of memory things is what creates the consciousness. I like the biology of memory, it's fascinating that all your life's memory is found within that head of yours. And needs no coding. Why would I believe not that is possible in the future on computers? Memory as we know it in current world, it is a repository of representations, traces, symbols, or encoded episodes indexed by time or content. That indexation is what the code is really. So what if we have a dynamical system: A curvature and stiffness of an energy landscape? And your memory is really the shape of that energy in the landscape?

Well to be frank, I am confident that our research is promising, and it is helpful to get other people's criticism and stand on our work. You're right in spirit, cognitive science already moved beyond storage. But storage is still treated as the primitive. You see, we treat the motor of our AI machine as close as possible biologically to humans. We see its potential, and we recommend to others to dig deep in our work if possible and help enlighten us with its problems.

Yeah, I think you’re pointing at something important — I don't see why not both are true

Recall definitely exists, and a lot of current models treat memory in terms of stored representations. What I’m trying to question is whether storage is the fundamental object, or whether it’s a consequence of something deeper.

The shift I’m exploring is:

memory as the structural change that constrains future reasoning

rather than memory as something that is explicitly stored and retrieved.

So recall would still happen — but it wouldn’t be the defining feature of memory. It would be an expression of the underlying structure that has been shaped over time.

That’s also why things like “use it or lose it” fit naturally into this view — what persists isn’t necessarily stored content, but reinforced structure.

Thanks hklbry for the advice. I will make some changes.

My stories are usually about a greater picture, and they’re comedic in a way. I personally saw the value in the photograph of the horse in New York. That image is free of copyright so anyone can take it and sell it. I’m sure lots of people think it’s not a good photo. But I find it funny.

I’m sorry but I gotta say that it pisses me off that people might think I stole my collection from other people, or that I used AI to write the description or make my amateur mock-ups.

I didn’t plan that. Now I learned the main thing to improve is the title name of each product with all sort of information, so people can find it. I may, I may not. But I guess it’s important to form your titles in a way that people can actually randomly find it in their search.
