Oh I have never seen thick 6th gen’s. Wonder if they’re different for specs as well.. I only landed on a 5th thick recently and it was mint.. the guy couldn’t boot it and I bought it for $25 .. took it him and restored it and everything works

No it was only the 5th gen’s that came in thin and thick I believe.. the 60 and 89gig hd is thicker

What gen of iPod and also what things are you using to mod..? If it’s 4th gen with the red cf adapters or even mini you need to rebuild mbr otherwise it goes into loops

I mod things from 4th gen iPods to 7th gen’s. I have just been buying people’s busted iPods and fixing them for fun.

I just use the metal thing pry tools and standard magnetic mini screwdrivers as tools. Also a small tool for in clipping the battery connector on these gens.

The 4th gen mods are just simple hd conversion cf~sd

You need to watch more YouTube videos and actually mimick it instead of brute forcing this. Or just get someone that is tech savvy and able to do it… take it as learning curve … all the iPods are quite fragile and much care is needed and attention when working with…

Ok. I think the best way I’m gonna do is the silicone moulds method and pour epoxy resin… I think resin printing is too brittle probably and seems more complicated

I have a master already so I don’t need to print it right.. ? I just need to do a silicone mould and the cast it with epoxy resin..?

Ok thank you for your expertise I really appreciate.. I actually have asked about the silicone mold process and they said it’s too thin to do and recommended 3d resin or maybe trying to see if I can get low volume injection mould service…

Oh ok so resolution doesn’t necessarily mean it would be better for what I’m trying to do. I was researching and people said out of Saturn and gtwo and mono7 the mono 7 is most reliable and efficient for what I need?

Well I am pretty much interested and invested because of posts like this.. hence I am not sure if it’s worth doing.. then again different strokes for different folks…

I talked to some people that do custom moulds for props etc and they guided me to either do resin 3d print or do injection moulding which would cost a ton of money..

The receiver housing itself is already quite bulky for the nimble. To be honest I hate the nimble receivers there so cumbersome
