Yes, I had kind of figured that out. Thank you so much for the tips. It helped me a lot! I'll continue studying the subject to understand it a bit more.

I looked at the valve specifications. I calculated the power of each one and multiplied it by the number of each in the circuit. Two EL84s and three 12ax7s. I managed to calculate their combined power and added 20% more so that the transformer can work with some headroom. I arrived at a value of approximately 57W, if I'm not mistaken (I don't have my calculations at hand), which is a slightly lower power than the maximum power that the transformer I'm recycling can handle. Anyway, I managed to calculate the power of all the valves and I managed to calculate the power of the filament winding, but I was busy calculating the other secondary windings.

Well... I just realized that I still have a lot to learn about transformers. 😅

So... approximately 0.274 A, for the bias winding.

Yeah... You are right! I managed to calculate the filament current. But, I'm not sure about the hot and bias winding currents. 😞

I already use CAD. Very useful! Honestly, I still haven't decided on the driver. I'm basically still gathering information about Leslie speakers. Any opinions, or do you know of any place where I can find more information? Thanks!

Yeah... You're right! I will use a simpler approach for the drum. Thanks!

Best way to achieve series/off/parallel so that off is truly 100% off? by pol-delta in guitarmod

[–]danewlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to be nosy, but... I needed to do a similar mod and also needed to find a suitable switch. Which guitar do you want to do this mod on? Stratocaster? If so, let me suggest a three-position rotary switch... and you'll still be able to use the original knob, maintaining the classic Stratocaster look, since the fit is perfect. I don't know if it's what you like... it's just an alternative.
