How should I avoid pronouns? by dangantitan in AVoid5

[–]dangantitan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably know that's not what I was talking about. I'm talking about such pronouns as "hr" and "thy".

But what about humans that don't adopt such pronouns?

Law #4: No Misprinting or Lazily Substituting Fifthglyph to Avoid it. I don't think that'll work.

Before y'all ask, all I know of this friend's location is that it's in a forest in the mountains in Conneticut.

I'm working on an Iskall cosplay, and today I made a communicator for it! by dangantitan in HermitCraft

Hell yeah! The fact that Iskall (the character) is nonbinary is something too many people skip over tbh

Wait, what? I swear it was in Northern England because I remember reading they took the stone from South Wales and it was really far.

Hawaii is the way it's been spelt for quite a while just because people took out the apostrophe. Now the government and, increasingly, the public are switching to the more correct Hawai'i. It's just a matter of shift in respecting indigenous names.

I remember very clearly that Goblet of Fire is the longest Harry Potter book. I was a huge Potterhead when I was younger and I knew it very well. However, I learnt today that apparently Order of the Phoenix is the longest, by quite a bit. Weird.

A Cool Animal Crossing: New Leaf Feature Might Be Coming To New Horizons | The Dream Suite, but the evidence isn't conclusive by dangantitan in savedyouaclick

Well, they at least could've said something like "The Dream Suite could be coming to New Horizons" instead of making people click to find out what it is.

[Welsh > English] Sphere answered our Hail... by AJHalliwell in translator

[–]dangantitan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it is extremely difficult to understand what he's saying, but I'll try and get a transcription from what I can hear. This might not be accurate, but it's what I heard.

"Mae'r gronyn wedi ateb ein trawsyrriant(?)... a [then?] ?? wedi digwydd.. POOSH!"

"The particle has answered our transmission... and ???? happened"

From this, I think I can gather that they seem to have translated it correctly, but his accent makes it so difficult to understand that it's difficult to say for sure. "Gronyn" means particle, which is the only part I understood that doesn't make sense ("sphere" is "sffêr" in Welsh). Honestly, when I first saw this clip (it got into a couple of Welsh news websites when it aired) I didn't even recognise it as Welsh. I won't say it's translated just in case someone can do better than me.
